Carnage // P.P (2)

Chapter 28

Freya stood by the reception desk in the lobby of the tower. Tony had quickly dropped her off and threw one of the guards jackets at her so she could blend in. Freya heard her fathers laughter along with Thor's and looked towards the hallway where they were emerging with the brief case along with Loki.

Freya moved so she was leant against the side of the desk and briefly checked the area "It's clear"

Tony who was in a guards gear a few feet away from her nodded and spoke to Scott "Thumbelina do you copy, I've got eyes on the prize it is go time" Freya snorted at the nickname and moved closer towards the group so she could grab the case when they were ready.

Freya bounced on her feet nervously as she waited for Scott to do his part. Even though she was sort of safe she she wouldn't be that recognisable as she wasn't fully known at this point but she still felt exposed and felt as if someone was watching her, she just put it on her paranoia but the feeling never went as she watched as the old Tony collapsed on the floor.

Freya closed her eyes and looked away, not really wanting to see her father in pain even though she knew he would be fine. She looked back just in time to see the Briefcase being kicked by Scott and watched as Tony picked it up.

Freya sighed in relief of finally getting it and went to follow Tony to the stairs but gasped when the door burst open by the Hulk, making Tony fly across the room and let go of the case.

Freya's eyes widened as she saw that the Tesseract had fallen out of the case and was by Loki's feet. The guards that were escorting Loki had gone to contain the Hulk who had now caused more destruction and left Loki unguarded.

Loki looked down at the Tesseract on the ground then towards Freya who was stood there in shock. He hadn't seen her before but he could sense her power from where he was and knew she was of importance.

Freya quickly moved and pushed through the crowd as she watched as Loki stood there smirking at her. Loki picked up the Tesseract and winked at her before using it to create a portal for himself. Just as he disappeared Freya went to grab the tesseract from his hands but fell to the ground as he disappeared.

Freya groaned as she hit the floor hard and looked towards Tony who was just coming out of being knocked down by the Hulk.

"That wasn't suppose to happen was it?" Freya sighed and shook her head "We're screwed"

Freya helped Tony up and with Scott's help brought him back to the alleyway where they had come from. Tony moved to one of the cars and sat in the drivers seat as he rubbed his head. Freya knelt down in front of him and checked the damage "Are you okay?"

Tony groaned and shook his head "I just got hit by the hulk, how do you think I am?" Freya sighed at his response and sat against the car as they waited for Steve. After waiting for ten minutes Steve finally returned with the septure. At least one of them succeed.

Steve looked at the three confused "What happened?" Tony leant back in the chair "We got a problem" Scott scoffed from his spot in the back seat "yeah we do"

Steve looked down at Freya to explain. Freya sighed and stood up "We got close but Hulk got in the way and Loki left with the Tesseract before I could stop him"

Steve paced in front of the car as they came up with a new sort of plan on how they could possibly obtain the tesseract with only one Pym particles left.

Steve sighed "So what are we going to do now?" Tony scoffed from the car "give me a break Steve, I just got hit in the head by the hulk"

Scott, who had gotten out of the car and was now pacing as he was worried about getting back scoffed at his response "You said we have one shot" Scott threw his hands out agressivly "This was our shot, we shot it, it's shot. Six stones or nothing, six stones or nothing"

Freya crossed her arms as she watched Scott "You do know you're repeating yourself right?"

Scott pointed towards her "You're repeating yourself" Freya glared at him and Tony went to defend his daughter "alright chill-"

Scott shook his head "You never wanted the time heist, you weren't on board with the time heist. You ruined the time heist" Freya stared at Scott in surprise at his outburst. From the short time she has known him she hasn't seen him like this and it is surprising as he is one of the laid back ones of the group.

Steve decided to step in before it got anymore heated "Freya is there any more options for the tesseract?" Freya looked at Steve in surprise that he as asking her about it but remembered she has encountered the stone before but before she could speak Scott butted in causing Freya to sigh in annoyance "No there's no other option. There are no do-overs. We're not going anywhere else. We only have one particle left each that's it. If we use that then bye there is no going home"

Freya slumped against the car knowing that he was right.

Tony however, stood up from the car after he had an idea "I know a place where we can get the cube and get new particles" Freya looked at her father confused "Where were they in the same place?"

Tony turned to Steve "I know where. New Jersey" Steve nodded as if agreeing to Tony "Okay, looks like we're improvising"

Freya's eyes widened as Steve shoved the septure in her hands "You guys take that back to the compound"

Freya watched as they typed in the new coordinates into the GPS "Dad, what are you doing?" Tony glanced a this daughter after he told Steve the year "I'll be back I promise" Freya stepped forward but before she could reach them they disappeared.

Freya stared at where they were stood with tears in her eyes. She had no idea if that was the last time she may see them if they don't get it.

Scott placed his hand on her arm "We gotta go" When Freya didn't move Scott tugged on her arm to grab her attention "They'll be after us, I promise" Freya turned to Scott and nodded and they both pressed the GPS.

Once they were back in the exact moment they had left he compound Freya looked down at the septure oil her hands and then towards the spot next to her where her father stood with a briefcase.

Freya reach forward and snacked him on the arm causing him to flinch away "Ow! what was that for?" Freya glared at him "You know what that was for"

Freya turned to see if everyone else had come back. She did a head count but frowned when she realised that someone was missing. She looked towards Clint who was stood there silently with tears running down his face.

Freya stepped toward him as a lump formed in her throat "Clint? Where's Nat?" She knew that Natasha went with Clint to get the soul stone.

Clint couldn't find the words to tell her that her best friend and sister had sacrificed herself to make sure that everyone came back. Clint only met Freya's eyes and Freya felt the tears falling down her cheeks before she even registered what happened. Freya's hand flew to her mouth as she let out a sob and fell to her knees but Tony had grabbed her before he had fallen and pulled her to him.
