Freya stared at her reflection in the mirror. Today is the first day she has worn anything other than sweats and one of Peter's hoodies. She could hear her friends outside quietly talking to themselves as they waited for the Stark family to be ready.
Freya grabbed the jacket she had rested on the back of the chair and slipped it on and once she looked back at her reflection she noticed Peter leaning against the doorframe.
Peter smiled sadly when he knew he was seen he slowly walked towards her and wrapped his arms around her. Freya closed her eyes as she leant back into Peter.
Peter kissed the top of her head "You ready?" Freya sighed and reopened her eyes. She nodded her head afraid that if she spoke she'd start crying again and she was tired of crying.
Peter kissed her head on more time before taking her hand and pulling her gently out of her room. They walked down the stairs and once they got to the bottom Freya stopped when her gaze landed on Morgan. Freya felt horrible that she wasn't there for Morgan when Pepper told her.
Peter frowned when he realised she had stopped. He gave her hand a reassuring squeeze making her look up at him. Peter reached forward with his free hand and push a stray strand of her hair behind her ear "Go be with them"
Freya reached up and kissed Peter softly on the cheek as if to say thank you before tearing herself away from him.
Frey walked into the living room and stood awkwardly behind the couch. Morgan looked up when she felt someone there and her eyes widened when she saw Freya.
She jumped off the couch and ran around before tackling Freya. Freya knelt down and wrapped her arms tightly around the little girl.
Freya eventually stood up while still holding Morgan and Freya had to bite her lip to stop herself from crying as she heard Morgan's soft sobs into her neck.
Pepper walked towards her two girls and placed a reassuring hand on Freya's back. Freya looked towards Pepper who gave her a sad smile through her tears.
Freya out Morgan back down after a few minutes of holding her. But Morgan gripped tightly on Freya's arms making Freya kneel in front of her.
Freya wiped a couple of tears that were on Morgan's cheeks "Do you want to hold my hand?" Morgan nodded and Freya held her hand out for her to hold.
Morgan held onto her hand tightly as they made their way towards the lake where they were going to set of a wreath.
Freya looked down the entire way not wanting to meet anyones gaze because she knew if she looked at one of them she would break and the one thing she wanted was to not cry in front of Morgan.
Freya knelt down beside Morgan as Pepper laid the wreath on the water. It didn't feel real to her until now as she watched it float away.
She felt a pair of arms wrap around her and looked over her shoulder seeing it was Pepper. A tear slipped from her eye which made Freya frown and grabbed Pepper's free hand with hers as her other was being held tightly by Morgan.
After the ceremony Peter moved away from the group to get some air. Freya spotted Peter standing by the lake and slowly walked towards him.
Once she was stood next to him she placed a hand on his arm as she didn't want to startle him. Peter let out a shaky sigh and turned to Freya only for Freya to frown when she noticed the tears.
Freya wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her head on his shoulder "I'm sorry"
Peter closed his eyes as another tear fell and nestled his face in her neck to hide his sobs. He was so focused on making sure his girlfriend was okay he didn't have time to grieve on his own and now being here was hitting him hard.
Freya rubbed his back soothingly as he cried. Eventually Peter pulled back and wiped his face with the sleeve of his jacket.
Freya frowned seeing how broken he was and it brought tears to her own eyes "I'm so sorry"
Peter looked at her confused "Why are you saying you're sorry?"
Freya sighed and looked out towards the lake "I'm sorry I wasn't there for you like you were there for me. You lost him too"
Peter grabbed her chin and gently moved her he's did she was facing him "You have nothing to be sorry for okay?"
Freya shook her head but Peter pushed a stray strand of her hair away from her face "You weren't just grieving for him. You lost your best friend too"
Freya sniffed and looked down at her hands "I'm tired of losing people" Peter frowned seeing how broken she ready was.
Peter pulled her back into a hug that he didn't want to leave. Peter kissed the side of her head "You're not going to lose anyone else, I promise"
