Guardian of Air (oc x Shiro)

Prolouge

Daniels pov
"Easy, son. This ice is delicate." Sam tells his son with a smile.
"Amazing. Isn't this exciting, guys?" Matt asks looking to the other two men.
"You guys get a little more excited about ice samples than I do" Shiro muttered and I nod my longer brown hair flopping into my eyes.
"This is history in the making. Not only have we travelled farther than any human ever has, but this ice could hold microscopic clues about the existence outside of Earth." Sam tells the group as I look to the father and son.
"We could use those clues to become the first people to meet aliens" Matt says looking to his friend
"My life's work would be complete"
"We could achieve flight into deep space, Iris would be so proud" I smiled thinking back to my idiot sister as the area around us begins to rumble.
"What is that? Seismic activity" Matt asked
"We should get back to the ship." Shiro commands. I look up horrified as a war ship from the Galra Empire appears
"Run! Come on, run!" Shiro yells. We try to run before being abducted.

Iris's POV
"Audrey this is absurd" I mouthed at the older blonde haired girl.
"What Iris? Nothing that bad is going to happen while we try to get the ship back up" Audrey tried to calm me down and I only sighed into my hands, my medium length brown hair flowing down my shoulder.
"Extra hands on maintenance" Ashley the oldest of us called through the coms. I pulled my uniform on and placed my helmet on over my hair and followed our pilot Janice into the dark and endless void of space. I pulled my self up the ship to where Ashley was sitting by our main panel. She motioned towards something and I followed her hand to a second panel. I gripped the edge and floated over the two girls and pulled it open lightly. I scanned the parts and spotted some wiring, I placed two of the wires back into their places as I looked over to Janice smiling as I heard Audrey's voice as she appeared clinging onto the ship.
"The ships up and running if we all get in we could continue on our way" Audrey laughed her helmet rubbing against her girlfriends. Janice giggled and I would of laughed if I hadn't been our tech person. I looked at my alert screen that appeared in my helmet, there was a red dot coming closer to our ship. I looked up to see something growing in size as it approached
"uh guys" I spoke loudly. I felt my cheeks pale and I watched as my little glowing marks under my eyes disappeared. That would of been fine if the four of us weren't being sucked away from our ship.
"It's been great serving with you guys" Ashley cried taking me in her arms, as my eyes grew heavy.

I looked around at the inside of the alien ship as my arms were held behind my back. I didn't dare try to fight as they had already placed a large cut into my neck. They threw me into a cell and locked it behind me. I stared horrified as the creature smiled at me before walking off, I placed my hand on the large cut trying to stop the blood from falling in to my hair. I heard a slight shush trying to calm me as someone tried to move my hand away from the cut. I whimpered and  I felt the person draw back
"Hey hey it's alright I'm like you. I don't want to hurt you" the person stated calmly. I turned my head towards them and took in the black hair and tuff of hair that was starting to turn white, their arm was gone and placed with a prosthetic, something I was sure he didn't have when he left on the Kerberos mission.
"See I know you, you'll be protected I swear Iris" he muttered and I let him take my hand off of my neck. He pushed my hair away from the bloody cut and I heard him slightly gasp. Something was being torn and I felt a fabric material over the cut
"how do you know me? What's happening? Where am I? What's going to happen? Where's my cr.." my words were muffled as I felt him pull me close to him as someone  some where in this ship screamed.
"Just calm down it's what's going to keep you alive here, they killed the older one on your crew. I don't know what happened to the others but I'm praying that their alright" he muttered and I nodded pulling myself closer to him as one of the creatures walked by dragging a smaller creature or alien behind them. I buried my head into his chest as another scream echoed through the corridors reaching us "Iris I promise I'm not going to let anything happen to you. I promised that to your brother when we got imprisoned and I don't intend to break it." Shiro whispered in my ear. I felt a few tears run down my cheek  as Shiro's shoulder accidentally elbowed my cut.
" Iris can you try to take a deep breath and don't listen to anything that's happening just try to breathe." Shiro whisper commanded and I nodded. I took in a shaky breath trying to ignore the screams of a female. Shiro applied pressure to the fabric and I whimpered again trying to bat at his hand but I completely froze at the yell of a female. I heard the name Janice kind of clear and I felt my breath hitch again. At this point Shiro was pulling me tight against him and I was almost completely in his lap. A creature came by and went to unlock the cell doors and Shiro stood hiding me in the corner from the alien creature, but to no luck. I was pulled out of the room by the scruff of my neck.

After countless hours of screaming and begging to stop I was forced back into the same cell with my eyes barely able to stay open. I watched as the hideous creature stalked off down the corridor. I felt a pair of arms wrap around me. I turned quickly and leaned into the hold when I knew that it was Shiro.
"I'm so sorry I promised your brother that you would be alright" Shiro sobbed into my arm and I tried my best not to groan as I felt my body give weight.
"I need to get you out of here." I heard Shiro whisper as he stood up holding me in his arms.
"Iris wrap your arms around my neck I'm getting you out of here." He stated and I wrapped my arms around his neck. I closed my eyes as he broke open the lock on the cell and using his hand taped out the path that the soldier would take. He stopped at a corridor and headed down and stoping at an escape pod. He set me down inside and I looked at him
"I'm sorry I can't be with you but I need to make sure the rest of your teams safe and I have to find the Holts and your brother" Shiro muttered resting his forehead against mine. I nodded as the pod closed and it ejected out into space
