It was like I was falling. Everything around me was dark and it hurt to open my eyes but I could make out some words and sounds.
I heard enough to know that Pidge was still in the castle and giving the galra hell. And Shiro being overprotective of both me and Lance.
I think I was laid across the floor but any time I heard footsteps approach me Shiro growled. I eventually had enough energy to open my eyes and when I did I was starting up at Shiro as he watched helpless to Pidge trying to get the castle back in order to let Allura and Keith in.
"Haxus, report in." Sendak commanded.
"Haxus is gone, and you're next!" I heard Pidge's voice through the coms.
"You've slowed me down, but this ship is mine! You will turn yourself over to me immediately!"
"Never!" Pidge's voice echoed as Sendak turned with a smirk at me.
"Well, then, maybe your leader can convince you." Sendak laughed grabbing me by my shoulder.
"What do you want?" I demanded practically shaking from rage.
"Your friend wanted to hear from you." Sendak replied in his venomous tone.
"Iris?" Pidge's voice called in a breathy tone.
"Pidge? Pidge, don't listen to-" I cut myself off with a scream as Sendak's prosthetic gauntlet shocked me.
"No!" Both Shiro and Pidge yelled as the shocking increased and I went limp feeling myself grow light.
"You can make it stop. Turn yourself in. Her suffering is in your hands." Sendak said throwing me back.
I tumbled and slid into Shiro, I was pried from Shiro's grasp again by Sendak as he held me tightly with his gauntlet.
"I'm impressed that you two managed to escape. Perhaps it would be worth the trip to your planet to see if the rest of your kind have your spirits. Of course, they will all end up broken, just like you. Now that we have Voltron, every planet, every race, all share the same fate." Sendak monologued as he threw me back into Shiro. I blacked out again, this time feeling as if I was falling endlessly. Never going to wake up."Shiro. Iris, wake up. It's me Pidge-" a voice spoke to me as I slowly opened my eyes. I was awake and so was Shiro, and I was so ready to fight.
"Stand back!" Sendak roared as Lance woke up and fired his bayards rifle. Shiro charged at Sendak and is easily knocked aside, I tried reaching the same fate and I leaned back into Shiro as he gripped onto my arm.
Keith kicked Sendak back and barriers rose up trapping him inside.
Pidge ran over to me and Shiro and broke our handcuffs off. I pulled Pidge into a hug and I smiled feeling her wrap her arms around my waist.
"Good job Pidge, your family would be so proud of you" I whispered and the younger girl smiled.
"Iris! Iris oh my gosh are you alright" Shiro breathed wrapping his arms around the both of us.
"Yeah.. I guess" I sighed as my cheeks flushed and Pidge smirked wriggling her eyebrows.
"Iris do you mind if we put you into a healing pod just for an hour?" Allura asked as she helped an unsteady lance to his feet.
"No, not at all." I replied as Pidge and Shiro both helped me stand up on my feet and I unintentionally wrapped my arm around Shiro's neck.
Both him and Pidge helped me to the medic bay and left me to pull on the uniform and I stepped into the sleep chamber closing my eyes.
