So she runs down the hallway to her camerino and quickly searches for a new pantie when Kurt opens the door.
“I was looking for you” he mutters, “the meeting had just finished” she whispers closing the drawer behind her so he wouldn’t notice.
“I thought you were sneaking from me” he says. “What? Why would I?” She asks trying to disguise the trembling in her voice. “Nothing I just had a bad feeling, forget it” he mutters coming closer to her, kissing her cheek.
“You look more relaxed today” Kurt whispers against her ear and she can only remember Rene making her tremble minutes ago, her legs almost shaking at the mere thought.
“Yes it was a good meeting” she says and kisses his cheek softly. “I’m glad baby” he says and she feels he’s being honest so she feels guilty for cheating and lying to him.
“How was the match?” She asks, as she dresses herself for the show. “It was a good one, but I would have beaten them” he mutters, and she can’t even imagine how hard it must be being obliged to let go her career before than wanted.
And her guilt only grows stronger, he’s been good to her, and loved her when she felt no one could, but she knew they weren’t made for each other.
“I’m sure of that” she whispers and kisses his forehead. In a cute way, she appreciates him, and is still trying to decide what the hell she should do.
“What do you think about having late dinner after the show?” He asks as she retouches her make up. “Uhm, it sounds perfect” she mutters.
Why is she trying to save her marriage? Maybe she’s looking for some signal that would let her know what to decide.
“Perfect, love you” He waves at her as she makes her way to the stage.
The show goes incredible as always, everyone cheers her, singing and dancing with her. As soon as she makes her way backstage, René grabs her hand, taking her behind a curtain.
“Do you think you can sneak out before going home?” He asks kissing her. “Not today” she says with a pout in her mouth.
“I wanted to continue what we started before” he whispers in her ear, licking her earlobe, his hand caressing her hip bone. “You’re gonna kill me” she whispers and kisses him hungrily.
“I’ll see you tomorrow then” he says leaving, he had always done that to her, playing with her and then leaving her on the edge, but now it was even worse, because she had already visited paradise with him.
She changes her clothes. “Ready” she mutters to Kurt, and he grabs her hand as they leave her dressing room. “I made a reservation in your favorite restaurant” he whispers in her ear, making her giggle.
René stares from the end of the hallway. “Thank you baby” she whispers in his ear and kisses his neck and she softly places her hand on his lower back as they walk towards the exit, her eye catching René’s silhouette in the shadows, not able to read his expression.
Dinner goes by nicer than she imagined, it was like they were back in time, when they were just dating, totally falling for each other and having fun, not thinking about kids, lovers and leaving.
“I had a lovely time, thank you” she says to him, as they leave the restaurant he grabs her hand, walking close to her.
Paparazzis shooting them, Rene immediately comes to her mind. “Guys, I’m tired, please not today” she says as nicely as she can. “You’ve heard her, not today” Nick says to the photographers, but they aren’t that nice, even with Celine.
She knows their pictures will be in a couple of magazines next morning, and Rene would know exactly why she hadn’t met him.
René wakes up early next morning and the news are already on his kitchen table, and there they are, Celine and Kurt “the lovely couple” that had found “time to spend together even during a world tour” according to the magazine.
She looked so good, his hand on her tiny waist, and although she was serious he imagined her laughing with him, kissing him, making love to him when they come back home.
He wrinkles the paper, throwing it towards the wall. Fuck it, he knew it would be like that, but he couldn’t stand it, he wanted her for himself only.
Time hasn’t been on their sides, he should have made a move years ago, so she could be every night in his bed, in his arms. He couldn’t change it now, and it made him hate himself.
The day goes extremely fast, he’s trying to feel better but he can’t take away last night scene of them walking together out of his mind. So when he gets to the stadium he doesn’t know if he’s ready to face her.
She enters her dressing room alone, Kurt didn’t come with her today, and she was glad because the magazine is waiting for her on her make up table.
René always waited her with some magazines and newspaper when she appeared on them, but she knew it had a whole different meaning this time. He was telling her that he knew.
So she just softly knocks his office door, right next to hers. “Come in” She slowly opens it. She walks towards him. “Bonjour” She whispers and comes closer to kiss his lips, but he moves his face away, her lips touching his cheek.
“Bonjour” he says. She rests her behind on the desk in front of him, trying to hold his hand but he moves away again. “Hey” she whispers. “Did you have fun last night?” He finally looks at her.
And she can see in his eyes how hurt he is. “I couldn’t just reject him” she mutters. “I know” he groans. “I knew it was going to be like this, but could you please not tease him in front of me?” He goes on.
"I wasn’t teasing him” she says calmly, “Whispering in his ear and kissing him, I know you tease me like that” he mutters. “Rene he's my husb..." she starts saying but he cuts her off. “Don’t say it please, I know who he is" he says heartbroken.
“I know he’s the one that gets to kiss you in public, the one sleeping with you every night, I know it believe me” he says almost in a whisper. “René” She places her hand in his cheek but he moves away.
"I'm not asking you to leave him I just don't want to see him touching you" he says finally facing her "I'll do my best" she says coming closer to him.
“I should be the one holding your waist and taking you out” he mutters. “René” She whispers. “Don’t make things more difficult than they are, please” her forehead resting on his.
“Just, can I get my kiss now? Please?" She asks with puppy eyes, he grabs her waist and brings her closer to him, until she’s finally sitting in his lap.
Their lips meet tenderly, but it a matter of seconds they start moving faster, more desperate. “You’re mine” he groans between her lips, just like every time he has her over his lap.
“I’ve been thinking, if you can wait a couple of days, I’ll be all yours for a weekend, what do you think?” She whispers still on his lap.
“All mine?” He groans, bringing her even closer to him. “Oui” she softly bites his lower lip. “I want you, now, but I guess I can wait for the weekend” he whispers.
“Don’t need to wait that much” she whispers, kneeling between his legs, unbuckling his belt.
