It's been a week since the announcement of her divorce and everything seems pretty normal, maybe too calm.

She can't help the bad feeling on her stomach as she makes her way to the second meeting with her lawyers.

She hasn't hear from Kurt yet, and everything is so stressful, she enters the office and he's sitting there. “Finally" he sighs annoyed.

"We have been waiting for you princess" he says, and a chill runs down her spine, he knows she hated being called like that.

"Bonjour" she nods her head politely to all the presents, doing her best to ignore him. She remains silent as her lawyers make him an offer, but he simply laughs at the proposal.

"You think a house and a few cars is enough? No darling, I have been following you around the world for the past 8 years while you screwed that old pathetic man behind my back, I'm worth more than that." He says looking straight into her.

It takes all her inner strength to not start screaming and throw her mug at him. "Would you please leave me alone with my husband please?" She asks the lawyers.

“I don't recommend it ma'am" one of hers tells her " I insist" she says firmly.

Once she's alone with him, she looks at him,  "Why are you doing this to me?" She softly asks "Doing this to you?" He says almost laughing again.

“Let me remind you that you and your lover were the reason that our marriage didn't work” he says and you could see in his face how disgusted he was.

"You know that's not completely true, we both share the blame, you taking your lovers to our home maybe had something to do with it too" She says standing up.

"So now all I'm asking is sign the divorce, I'll give you everything you want but let me go."  She doesn’t want to beg, not to him. He stares at her, contemplating his options

"With one condition" he says standing up too. “What?" "I'll sign them with one condition" he says with a bragging smile. “Which one?” she's ready to give him anything he asks for, jewelry, paintings, anything.

"You have to wait at least at year before making your relationship official" he says with a smile, knowing it’s the thing that would hurt her the most.

"What? I can't do that, I won't be hiding" she says firmly. “That or every one would know the truth, think about the press talking about the perfect Celine Dion being a cheater" he says smiling, he knows he has hit her where she's week, her career and René.

“They would love a good story how you two fucked backstage for years” he tells her “You know that’s not truth” she snaps “But they would love it anyway” he says and rests himself on his chair.

“You won’t say a word, to nobody” she mutters after thinking about it for a minute. “Shouldn’t you ask your boyfriend?” He asks. “Maybe he dies during this year, considering his age” he mutters.

And she now really wants to kill him, she comes closer to him, barely inches between their bodies. “Another word about him and I’ll destroy you” she says near him.

Fighting her desire to slap him, but she knows they’re being watched, and he could use it against her.

“I never saw you like that, I didn’t know you were so passionate” he says in a mocking tone. “Well, maybe I wasn’t passionate about you” she just turns around and walks away to the door.

“He will gladly sign them” she tells the lawyers waiting outside as she opens the door. She knows she has just won the battle, but she feels like she’s losing the war.
