Since the date night for his birthday, they have been in every magazine and news, they had so many stories, of how they have started dating and speculations of when their relationship had started.
But they didn’t comment any of the news, nor answered the calls, they just casually started walking together, dining together, and holding hands from time to time, just like a normal couple would do.
They wanted people to get used to them. “We can’t just go and say ‘Hey, we are together, accept this and love us’” René had said to her, so she had agreed. “They will love us, but not as much as I love you” she had told him and kissed him.
So everything went as planned, the idea of them being a couple was going well, and they could enjoy themselves more not completely in public yet.
It’s her birthday party and they have thrown a big one, it’s the first time they spend it as a couple, and they have always done things big. So this couldn’t be the exception.
She’s hugging everybody when the waitress with the trays of food start walking on the room, her stomach immediately shaking.
It’s been like that the last couple of days, she could barely stand the smell of food although it was delicious.
“Again?" René asks holding her waist as he sees her with a nauseous expression wrinkling her nose. “I’m good” she says. “Sushi ma’am?” One of the garçons offers her.
She tries to smile to him but she immediately runs towards the nearest toilette, kneeling in front of it.
It’s impossible isn’t it? She thinks as she gets her face out of the toilette. “Céline” René calls her from outside. What if she wasn’t the problem? What if it was Kurt? René and her had been doing it without protection for months, was it even possible that she was...?
She couldn’t even think the word. “Baby?” He asks opening the door she was so lost on her own thoughts that she hadn’t answered him.
“You are alright?” He asks caressing her face.“Yes, the food smell made me feel sick” she whispers, million of thoughts going through their minds.
“I’ll take you to the doctor tomorrow morning” he whispers but her head is thinking non stop about when she got her last period. November? December maybe? It was usual for her to skip it for a couple of months, but it was too much.
“We should go back to the party” she whispers brushing her tooth. “Are you sure?” She nods, she feels better already.
“You just need to say it and I’ll finish it all” he mutters walking down grabbing her by her waist.
Their relationship was probably the better saved secret of the decade. All the people downstairs knew about them, they could hug and kiss and dance together and no one would say a thing, because they loved them and supported them.
It was actually overwhelming. Because they could be themselves, without worrying, even though the press was getting used to them, they wouldn’t be French kissing outside their close circle.
Manon approaches her at the party again, taking her to the garden outside, she’s really thankful for the cold air in her face.
“Are you better?” Her young sister just nods. “I only got one thing to say... if I’m not the godmother I’ll kill you” “You know it’s not possible” Celine rolls her eyes.
“Those boobs say otherwise” Manon looks at her cleavage making her laugh. “You’re crazy” she says coming back inside but her sister’s words never leave her mind.
