She gets into her car and wears the sunglasses on. She’s not crying, she can’t, her heart is a knot and hurts, but she knows her eyes are wet.

The drive is shorter than she would like, and she enters home silently. There’s no sign of Kurt, maybe he had left, maybe he had spent the night with his lover too. Who could blame him? She definitely wouldn’t.

Although it breaks her heart, she hasn’t imagined her life like this. She should be jumping of happiness that she’s finally with Rene, that she knows he loves her.

He loved her right? He hadn’t said it, but the way he touched her, the way he had called her “mon amour” last night. He loved her.
René Angelil loved her, and she felt guilty about it.

“The perfect wife finally decided to come back home” he says as she enters their bedroom. “Kurt” she mutters and she can tell he hadn’t sleep that much either.

“Where were you?” He asks loud. “I think that after last night conversation it’s not your business” she leaves her purse on the bed, passing by next to him.

“You were with him, weren’t you?” His voice even louder now but she doesn’t respond. “Did he fuck you like you wanted? Harder Rene!” He screams, mocking her.

“Yes he did!” She says so defiantly that he finally stops screaming. “Whore” he mutters. “Don’t you dare! Be brave enough to tell me that to my face” she grabs his arm making him face her.

“You think I can pay your trips with your lovers, and when I do the same you do you can insult me? You’re so mistaken” she says.

“I would look like a fool” he mutters. “And how would I look if I’m the one paying for your lovers gifts!?” She says louder than intended.

“No one would find out, they mean nothing, but you were so stressed with the baby stuff that I couldn’t help it, you barely kissed me” he mutters.

“So now it’s my fault” she screams. “Yes” he mutters. “Because you were always in love with him” he finally fires.

She doesn’t reply, she doesn’t know what to say, she knows he’s right, she had tried to fool herself for years, but apparently she couldn’t fool her husband.

“The way you looked at him, you’ve never looked at me like that. The songs, even if you said they were for me. That pour que T... don’t know what, you were singing it for him when I entered that day” he mutters, and she’s surprised of how much he knew.

“How long have you two...” he can’t finish his sentence. “Years?” He asks clearly hurt. “No, a couple of months” she just mutters.

“But you’ve wanted him since day one, you used me”. “I didn’t, I loved you” she mutters. “But not like you deserve” she says and he laughs. “No, not like you love him” he stands up.

“I’ll send the divorce papers” he says getting up from their bed. “You can stay here, I can get other place” she says, even though she knows the marriage agreement says other wise.

“Of course you will, you won’t bring him at our house. It won’t be that easy for both of you” he says threatening before leaving.

And she immediately starts crying, although she doesn’t want him anymore, it’s frustrating how things went. Although she’s totally in love with Rene, she would have wanted things to be different.

She’s scared, for her career, her future. Her relationship with Rene, everything. What would Kurt do? She can’t stay there to find out, she grabs her purse and passport and asks Nick and the chofer to the airport. She needs to be home.

She's been gone for a few hours and he hasn't heard from her yet although she had said she would call, so he calls to her house, nothing, maybe she's busy packing her stuff or fighting with Kurt.

That second thought worried him even more after the things he had heard outside her camerino, so he tries again and again but still nothing, fearing that something happened to her he jumps into his car and drives to her house.

His fist pounding against the door "Celine" he calls out loud but no one comes out, he is about to leave when he heard Kurt’s voice from the balcony on the upper floor, "She's not here".

"What do you mean she's not here?" He asks loudly. “She left me, she didn't run immediately to your arms?" Kurt asks sarcastically and Rene wish that he could beat the hell out of him.

His fist clenched, but he gets into the car and starts driving back home. But he can’t give up that easily.

He grabs the phone in the car and dials to Canada, he doesn’t want to lose hope, she wouldn’t leave him, not like that.

She had ended things with Kurt and they had an incredible night, she had said she loved him that morning. She couldn’t have left him just like that after all those things.

Therese’s voice answer from the other side. “Hello Therese, c’est René” he says nervous, he doesn’t know how to explain things to her. He’s not sure if she knows something or maybe Celine never talked with her about them.

“Kurt told me Celine had left, and I need to talk to her, the album...” he says, but he cuts him off.
“She’s here” Therese mutters. “She wanted to be alone” “Oh, I’m so relieved” he says and it’s truth but the can’t stop his mind, why did she run away from him?

“She needs you” Therese mutters it’s not easy to let her little child go, although she was already married. “Merci” he mutters.

He immediately heads to the airport. He’s not going to be late, not this time.

He loved to travel, but this time wasn't the best occasion, a plane never seemed so small nor so slow, it's like the air was missing or something.

His legs were shaking, his heart beating so fast that he could swear that he could die before the plane landed.

But then she came into his mind, that beautiful face, with her shiny eyes that always told him that everything would be okay, she was worth it, hell she was completely worth it.
