Chapter 71: The heart wants what it wants

Jordan and I went to the beach while Sky and Jay went shopping. My heart pounds. How he did know?
" It's okay, Christina. " He said. What? Why did he say that?
" Okay." I just said. We walked under the pier. The waves crushed against the shore. I look at Jordan. He took off a chain necklace. He put in his hand in the water and a green tail forms.
" Jordan..." I trailed off.
" I know that you are. The necklace." He said. I look at my necklace then at him.
" Are you a mermaid?" He asked.
" Yes." I said. He smiled.
" How can you tell from looking at my necklace?" I asked as I sat by him.
" I learned a few things." He said. I lay my head on his shoulder.
" I want to know you better. I believe I owe you because of last time." He said. I giggled.
" Well, what do you want to know?" I asked.

I walked home. I felt so happy. Happier than I've ever been. Jordan is perfect. He is nice and sweet. He helped me forget about my feelings for Carter.
I went inside the house. Maggie and Carter were cuddling and watching movies. Carter saw me a turned off the tv.
" Carterrrr." Maggie whined then saw me. Carter got up.
" So how was the date?" He asked.
" It was perfect." I said. I really meant it.
" I'm in love." I smiled. Maggie got up.
" Really?" She asked.
" I'm sure." I said. She smiled and looked at Carter.
" Um. I'm glad that you had a perfect date." Carter said. He looked down then at Maggie. Maggie walked to me and gave me a hug. I'm a little shocked but alright.
" Tell me about him." She said as we sat on the couch.
" Where do I start? He is so nice. We have a lot in common. He-" I was cut off.
" Alright. Maggie and I have to go." Carter said.
" Where? We don't have anything planned." She said.
" Cause I just planned it." Carter said.
" Okay?" Maggie said.
" Sorry, Christina. We can talk about him later." Maggie said. I nodded. I walk upstairs. It was weird. It's like she wanted to be my instant bestie.
I walked in my room. My mind went back to Jordan. It's amazing how someone can do this to you. Make you think about them all the time. I wonder if he is even thinking about me.
I went in my bathroom and showered. I walked out and dried myself then changed. The thought of him makes me melt. I'm crazy for him.
" Hey." I look to see Cam.
" Hey, Cam." I said as we walked to my bed.
" I've been thinking about you." He said.
" Oh. Why?" I asked.
" Just you dating someone. That you never gave me a chance. " He said.
" Cam..." I said.
" I know." He said as he walked out. My phone buzzed. Unknown number.
" Hello?" I said.
" Hey, it's Jordan." I hear him said. I smiled. I knew it was him. His voice.
" Hey." I said.
" Sky gave me your number and I wanted to call you." He said.
" Aw." I said.
" I can't stop thinking about you." He said. I bite my lip.
" Oh, really?" I teased. I hear him chuckle.
" You're just so beautiful. So nice. " he said. I blushed.
" Can I tell you something?" I said.
" Anything." He said.
