Chapter 32: Forget about me

I woke up to an empty bed. I yawned and got up. I took a shower and changed my clothes. I brushed my teeth. I walked downstairs and started cooking.

It's quiet here. Too quiet...

I finished cooking. I checked my phone, 11:55 a.m. They should be awake by now. I went to Sky's room. She isn't in there. I went to Kylie' s room. She isn't in there. I'm getting worried.

" Don't overthink this. They probably went to the store." I said to myself.
* Skips 2 hours *

I am pacing back and forth. They should be here. Maybe they went to the beach. I changed into shorts and a crop top. I slip on my vans and walked out the door.

I'm at the beach. I'm searching. People kept looking at me.

Gosh, I felt like I lost my mom at the store and I'm looking for her... everywhere.

I gave up. I went to Starbucks. I sat down and sipped my drink. I grabbed my phone and call Sky. She didn't pick up. I called everyone but they didn't pick up.

The door bell rang and I look to see Nash.

" Oh my gosh! I missed you." I ran and hugged Nash.

" Um. Who are you?" He asked.

" Ha! You're funny." I laughed. He gave me a serious look.

" Christina... your friend." I said, worried.

" Sorry, I don't know you." Nash said.

" Please don't lie to me. I'm your friend. " I said.

" But we never met." Nash said.

" What is happening?" I asked.

" I'm sorry but I have to meet up with my friends later." Nash said. He went get his order and left.

" Wait! Can I come? " I asked.

" Are you crazy?" Nash said.

" Please." I said.

" Fine." Nash said. I smiled. We walked back to the beach. I see the guys and Sky and Kylie.

" Guys." I said. They look at me, confused.

" Who is she?" Cam asked.

" Some girl at Starbucks." Nash said.

" Uh. Hi. I missed you so much." I said.

" Do we know you?" Sky asked. No, not her.

" I'm your friend. All of you are my friends." I said.

" Sorry , you must be mistaken." Taylor said. I even wished that Taylor would remember me. Tears filled my eyes.

" Are you okay?" Carter asked.

" Yea. I'm fine." I said.

" You sure. You can tell us." Matt said.

" My friends don't remember me. My parents hate me. I have no one." I said, walking away. I walked back home.

This has to be a bad dream. It can't be real. I cry for a good hour or so. I started to think. Why would they forget me? How?

I heard a knock on my door. I open it to see my parents.

" Hey, sweetie." Mom said.

" Hi." I said. I let them in.

" I thought you hate me." I said.

" Why would we?" Dad said.

" I told our secret." I said.

" What?" Mom said.

" Of being a mermaid." I said.

" Sweetie, are you okay? You didn't tell anyone. If you did, we would be mad at you." Mom laughed.

" We have to go. We just wanted to check on you. Love you, honey." Dad said.

" Love you." I said. They walked out. I closed the door and locked it. I ran to the bathroom. I took off the charm. I went in the tub and filled it with water. My tail formed. I stared at it. I need to relax.

I dried myself. I checked the rooms again. It's empty like it was. I went to Carter's room. It smelled like him. His scent is in here. I search the room. I found a note. I read it.
Listen here. If you don't leave Christina alone, I will hurt her. I have a bunch of people that would too. So act like you don't know her. Leave the house. Get away. Or else. Don't try with her parents. They are in the plan too. And don't even tell her this. I'm not scared to kill any of you, pretty boys. Same for Sky and Kylie.

I put the note in my pocket. I really wished that I was dreaming. I went to my room and grabbed my suitcase. I packed my clothes. Justin doesn't know about the O2L guys! I called Connor.

" Hey, Christina." He said.

" Connor. I need the guys here, now." I said.

" Something wrong." He said.

" You'll find out." I hung up. I saw a picture of the O2L and Magcon guys with Sky, Kylie, and me. I put it in the suitcase. I grabbed my luggage and put it downstairs.

I heard a knock. I opened it. The O2L walked in.

" What's up?" Connor hugged me. We all went in the living room and sat down. I stood up.

" Okay. You know Nash and them?" I asked.

" Yea. Sky and Kylie too. Why?" Kian asked.

" You know Justin, my ex." I asked.

" Yea..." Sam said.

" Look." I said. I have Connor the note and He read it out loud.

" Oh, no." Jc said.

" What am I gonna do?" I shout.

" Stay calm first." Connor said. He hugged me and rubbed my back.

" Justin is just ruining my life." I said.

" It's gonna be okay." Kian said.

The guys agreed to stay here. Even Trevor. I tried calling the guys again but they didn't answer. Sky only picked up once but she said to stop calling them. Ugh.

It's around midnight. I tried everything to get them back. I noticed that I still have my cast. Wow. That sucks.

" Kian! Can you bring me to the doctor's tomorrow?" I shout. I hear him say yes. I lay in bed.

I fell asleep.
