Chapter 75: Hello, Good-bye...

I wait at the airport with Sky. The families should come in 5 minutes.
I kept thinking about what I learned about being a mermaid. My whole life so far, I thought I knew it. But I didn't.
" Christina?" Sky said. I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at her.
" Are you excited?" Sky asked.
" Yea. Yes." I said. Sky have me a confused look but shook it off. I see a group of people walking towards us. I recognized one person then I knew it was the families.
" Hi, Mrs. Reynolds." I said as I hugged her.
" Hello, Christina." She smiled and rubbed my back.

I bring the families to the hotel.
" Okay, Mr. Grier's family is in room 256. Mrs. Mendes' family is in room 257..." Sky talked about what rooms they are in.
By the time they settled in, Sky and I left. We walked home and I see Jordan. He was sitting on the steps. He was looking down and playing with his hands.
" I'll let you and him talk." Sky said as she walked inside. Jordan looked up and got up.
" Hey." Jordan said as he hugged me.
" Hey." I said.
" I need to tell you something. " He said as he pulled away.
" I'm leaving." He said.
" What? I only known you for a few days. " I said.
" It's about my family." He said. I don't know about his family but I don't what to ask. I know that he won't tell.
" Will you come back?" I asked.
" I-I don't know. " He said.
" I'm gonna miss you." I said as I hugged him.
" I'm gonna miss you too. " He said. I pull away.
" What about us?" I asked. He looked away.
" I'm sorry." He said. I didn't say anything. I hugged him one last time and walked inside the house. Before I closed the door, I said, " I love you."
" I love you." He smiled. I smiled and closed the door.
" Hey." Sky walked to me.
" He is leaving." I said. Sky gave me a hug.
" It's okay. It's gonna be okay." She said. No tears came out. I know everything will be okay. I know that he will come back. Just knowing him for a few days, I just know it.
" But look at the bright side, the guys will see their family. " She said.
" Yea, I guess. I just hope that everything will be perfect." I said.
" We need to tell them." Sky said. I smiled as she shouted their names. The guys ran down the stairs. But Hayes fell so most of them did. I started to laugh then I snorted which made me laugh harder. They got up and waited.
" We invited your family to come here!" Sky and I said after we finished laughing. They started to hug us.
" Thank you." I heard everyone say. I smiled.

I finished my shower and changed my clothes. I let my hair air dry. Today was full of... I don't know. My new boyfriend is now leaving which causes us to break up. The guys have their family to spend the day with. I currently dislike my family but I want to spend time with them.
" Hey." Carter said as he walked in and closed the door.
" Hey." I said as I sat on the bed.
" I just wanna say thank you for bringing my family here. And the guys'. " Carter said.
" You're welcome. Sky also helped." I said.
" Is everything okay?" He asked as he sat by me.
" Yea.... No." I said.
" Wanna talk about it?" He asked. I nodded.
" My boyfriend and I just broke up cause he is leaving. " I said.
" Didn't you met him like three days ago?" Carter said. I laughed.
" Yea." I said.
"I don't know if you and him will see each other again but don't have high expectations that you will." He said.
" You're right. " I said. I been having high expectations about Jordan. I been thinking that he will come but in reality, he may not.
" If you need to talk to someone, you always have me." Carter said. I smiled as he walked out the room. I laid in bed. I thought about it for a while then my eyes felt heavy. Minutes later, I fell asleep.
