Chapter 25: Bermuda Triangle

Angel's POV:

I looked over at Jade, as she played in my hair. We were on our way to back to my old house outside the the kingdom. I looked up at Eliza and Alex. They were staring at Jasmine and Jeremiah. They were still pissed off because Evelyn attacked our kids in their sleep. I was mad to. First, she killed my Mama, now she was tried to choke Jade.

I looked around the car for the fourth time. I was on edge being out in the open, especially with Jade by my side. We were sitting in the airport parking lot. But the airport is one of the places people could hide in plain sight. So if Evelyn did show up, she would have a tough time finding me. "Angel?" Alex called. I looked at her.

"Elease says that she's at the gate. Let's go." She said. I nodded and started the car up. I drove off towards the exit gates. As I got closer, I felt like crying. I was gonna have to leave Hunter for awhile. I knew I was gonna miss him like crazy. I was sad he couldn't come with us. Lucas and Kyle couldn't either.

No one could. The only one who could was Elease . She said that it's too much of a big risk for all of us to be together with Evelyn on the loose. Hunter was more upset that he couldn't come with us. He was so upset that he tried to convince me that we should go ahead and fight Evelyn head on.

After everything he told me, I said no. Even though I did want to fight Evelyn as soon as I saw her, I knew it would be bad. Hunter hugged me and Jade all night long. This morning he was gone when I woke up. I knew I had to leave with Jade right away. Because I wouldn't want to leave if I saw Hunter. As I drove out the gates, I took one last look at the kingdom.

Only one thought came to mind and that was Hunter. A tear hit my cheek. I wiped it away and drove away. I glanced over at Eliza. Me, her, and Alex didn't wanna leave but we knew we had to. I looked at the kids the in mirror. They all looked tired. I should imagine so. We've being running around all night long.

Seeing the gates made me think of back when me and Mama first arrived at the kingdom. Then the idea came to me. We needed to hide at my old house. I heard a car horn. I jumped and turned my head to see a van driving beside me. The window rolled down and I smiled. "Hunter please." I said. He motioned for me to pull over.

I did. "Daddy!!" Jasmine cried. Lucas got out the van and hugged her. "Dad!!" Jeremiah said. Kyle picked him up. "Daddy!!!" Jade squealed. I smiled as he picked her up and hugged me. "What are you guys doing?" Alex asked. "We know we weren't gonna be able to go four weeks without seeing y'all." Kyle said.

"Yeah. Angel you guys are family." Alison said, as she rolled down her window. "And we knew that we had to help, whether it's a big risk or not." David said. I smiled. "So Angel. Lead us on." Hunter said. Hunter got in the car and I drove off. The guards drove the van behind me. I drove all the way back to my hometown.

I looked around. Still the same. People looked at the van behind me. I drove around til I came to my old house. I got out and grabbed Jade. "Angel!!" Someone called. I turned around to see people. I smiled. "Angel's back!!" A girl cried. People ran up and hugged me. "Hi." I said. "Hey Angel. God you got so grown." My aunt said.

"All these white people." My Uncle. "Uncle!! They are my family." I said. They all stared at me. "This is David and Alison, former King and Queen of the kingdom in the town over. This is Kyle, Lucas, Eliza, and Alex." I said. Nobody moved. "These are their kids, Jeremiah and Jasmine. And this is my baby Jade." I said.
