Hunter's POV:
"Hunter, this isn't up for discussion. You're babysitting Violet and that's that." Mom said, as she walked out the door. I groaned in frustration. I glanced over at Violet as she played her Barbie dolls in the living room. I walked over to the kitchen and into the fridge. Violet's arm was getting better.
Of course I took that as a sign she was able to do things for herself again. Nope. I was still told to do stuff for her til my parents were super sure she was fully healed. I looked over at her. She had tears streaming down her face. At this point, I didn't care. I hated having to do shit for her.
I went upstairs to my room and laid down. I was already pissed off. I have been for months. Angel, Alex, and Eliza haven't been around much. I was curious as to why. Kyle told me that he and Alex kissed the day he told us he thought he was moving. His Dad ended up turning down the promotion.
He didn't want to leave the home he's lived in for years. Kyle said Alex was glad he didn't have to leave but she hasn't been around to spend time with him. Lucas said that he caught up with Eliza when she was headed hone one day. He started to ask why she hasn't been around for the longest.
She didn't give an answer. She avoided the question. It bothered all three of us that the girls just excluded us from their circle. I thought we were all cool. And I didn't see Angel much. I only saw her at school but even there, she's distant. She's always busy with her schoolwork and classes.
It bothered me these girls stopped talking to us. I went over to Angel's house one day and talked to her Mom. Misha said that she's been busy a lot lately. She wouldn't tell em why though. I considered ordering Misha to tell me something about what was going on with Angel.
But me being me, I didn't like the idea of me ordering people around. I know that I was gonna have to get over it some day. One day, I'm gonna rule this kingdom. I heard knocks on my door. The door opened and in walked Lucas and Kyle, who was holding a crying Violet.
I rolled my eyes. "Really Hunter?" Lucas said. I didn't say anything. "Dude why you bring so mean to Violet?" He asked. "Because. I'm sick of doing shit for her. Her arm is fine. She's seven years old. She knows how to do shit for herself!!" I cried. They stared at me. Kyle turned around and walked out.
Lucas sat down in front of me. "Hunter why you acting like this?! You've been such an asshole, it's not even funny. You're never like this. Why you so hostile towards your sister? Violet's arm may be better but it's not really healed man. Remember I had a broken wrist and I thought it was all healed?" He asked.
I didn't say anything. "I came over to help y'all rearrange some stuff and I dropped that urn." He said. I nodded. "Yeah so?" I said. "So. Show some compassion for Violet. If this was you, you know damn we'll she'd help you around the house." He said. I sighed. "I'm just irritated." I said.
"I know you're mad at Angel for not talking to us like she used to but taking it out on Violet ain't gonna solve shit man. She's seven. Her arm is getting better but it ain't there yet. Give it time. And I know you're mad at Angel but let's go see her then and talk to her." He said. I looked at him. "What? No way. She probably won't be home. She doesn't be at home like that." I said.
"So? It's Saturday. She's has to be home." He said. I thought about it. "Hunter!!!" Dad bellowed. He walked in with Violet in his arms. Kyle walked in behind him. "Dad before you say anything, Violet I'm sorry I was so mean to you." I said. She stared at me before shaking her head. "Violet I'm really sorry. I'm just irritated right now." I said.
