Chapter 11: Mermaids

Angel's POV:

I woke up to sunlight beaming in my face. I turned over on my side and felt something hard against my body. I felt it up. The fuck is this? I opened my eyes to see Eliza. I sat up and looked down at her. She looked so adorable sleeping. I decided to turn back over tho back to sleep.

Again, I felt something hard against me. I opened my eyes again and saw Alex sleeping next to me. The hell? Then last night's events came flooding back to me. Oh yeah. We were rescued and we spent the night together. The King said we didn't have to go to school today.

I guess we scared him since we told him we had endured a shark attack. I sighed and sat up. I got up slowly without waking the girls. I walked to my bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. I grabbed my toothbrush and brushed my teeth.

"Angel?" Someone whispered. I walked back to my room and saw my Mama standing in the doorway. "Oh good you're up. Come on. I don't want to wake them up." She said, as she motioned to Alex and Eliza. I walked over to her and closed the door. "Yes ma'am?" I said.

"Now I'm off to work. There's food in the fridge if y'all get hungry. And I left twenty bucks on the counter if y'all get even more hungry, order pizza." She said. "Mama we'll be fine." I said. She nodded then she looked down at my ankle. "Mama I'm fine. That shark didn't do too much damage. I'm strong, just like you." I said, smiling.

She smiled and kissed my cheek. "Alright baby." Has said, then she headed downstairs. I walked back in my room and saw Eliza and Alex awake. "I thought you guys were sleep?" I said. "We were." Eliza said, yawning. "But I no longer felt heat next to me and that made me cold." Alex said.

She stood up and stretched. "Alright so what should do for the day?" She asked. "I don't know. What do y'all want to do?" Eliza asked. "Uh guys. We're supposed to be resting." I said. "Angel fuck all that. We've been given a day off. Besides if I go back to that school, I'm gonna fight Evelyn." Alex said.

"Why?" I asked, laughing. "Because. She didn't tell anyone we were out there. Her friend was the only one who told on her." She said. "And now Evelyn will probably turn on her like she turned on me." Eliza said. "Yeah probably." I said. "But foreal. What are we gonna do?" Alex asked.

"I guess we can play games. Paint our nails, do our hair." I said. "What are we, Barbie dolls. Come on. I wanna do something fun." Alex said. "Come on. My Mama is creating a garden and I want to water them." I said. The girls and I walked downstairs and out to the garden. "Whoa. She's already created a garden?" Alex asked. I nodded.

"Yep. My Mama was once a gardener and that became one of her hobbies." I said. "My Mom has been some that for years." Eliza said. "My Mom doesn't do that." Alex said. "Eliza can you turn in the water hose please?" I asked. She walked over and turned the nozzle. I picked up the water hose and aimed it at the flowers.

I reached out to change the setting and the water changed directions. "Whoa." I said. "What?" Alex asked. "Did y'all see that?" I asked. "See what?" Eliza asked. I reached out my hand and the water curved. They gasped. "Oh my God. Angel how did you do that?" Eliza asked. "I don't know." I said.

I looked the water hose up and down. "Is that some sort of magic trick?" Alex asked. "No." I said. I flicked my hand and the water nozzle came off, making water spew everywhere. It got on me, Eliza, and Alex. "Angel!!" Eliza cried. We ran inside and grabbed paper towels. My legs then felt tingly and numb. Then we all fell to the ground.
