Hunter's POV:
I watched as Angel threw up. I held her hair back as she did. She sat up and looked at me. "I hate this." She said. "Well it's our baby Angel." I said, as I rubbed her stomach. She harshly pushed my hand away and stormed out of the bathroom. I sighed and followed her. She's been like this all week last week and this week.
She wasn't too happy with her pregnancy. Elease told me that the girls are all acting like this because of the pregnancy hormones. That's what I'm hoping for. I didn't like that Angel constantly rips on our unborn child because she's unhappy. I didn't like it. I was hoping she'd get through this first trimester. I wanted to go by fast because I didn't like her talking bad about how she hated our baby.
I've been spending time with her day and night since we found out. I didn't want her to go and do something terrible if I wasn't around. "Hunter will you leave me alone?!" Angel cried. I stared at her. She glared at me before bursting into tears. "Angel just calm down and relax." I said. "No!! You won't leave me alone. I'm not a little baby. I can be by myself." She said.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to calm down. I began walking to the door. "Wait Hunter!!" Angel cried. I turned around and looked at her. "I'm sorry. I don't know what's wrong with me. I don't want you to leave me." She said. This is what freaked me out the most. Her sudden mood swings. One minute she wants to kill me, the next she loves me.
She's so difficult. These nine months better go by fast. I walked over to her and helped her up. We walked downstairs and out the door. We got in the van. The guards drove us down the street. We saw Eliza and Alex standing in Eliza's driveway. Angel called out to them. They got in the van. They both looked tired. "You guys okay?" I asked.
They both shook their heads. "No. I've been throwing up all night long." Alex said. "Same here. My Dad kept popping in and out because I wouldn't stop. We can't keep this a secret for much longer." Eliza said. "I know but we need to wait for the right time." I said. "When is Kyle coming back?" Alex asked. "Today. We're going to go see him now." I said.
Kyle left to see his older sister, who was also pregnant. She gave birth last week so he left to see his nephew for the first time. Alex has been a crying mess since he left. Lucas left with his Dad and Uncle for their annual hunting trip. Eliza was upset that he's been gone for a whole week. All three girls have been nothing but crying messes.
It sucked that I had to be there for all three of them. We pulled up to my house and got out. I walked in with Angel's arms wrapped around my waist. My parents looked at us. I held up my hand. "Don't. Just don't." I said. "Angel everything all right?" Mom asked. What the fuck did I just say?! Angel nodded. "I'm fine." She said.
"You've Uh, been a little clingy with Hunter." Dad said. Angel shrugged. "Dad don't worry about it." I said. I pulled the girls upstairs to my room. I walked in and saw Kyle laying on the couch, watching TV. He looked over at us. Alex ran over and hugged him. He chuckled. "Missed me?" He said. She nodded. "I'm tired." I said, as I laid down. Angel laid down on top of me.
"When you get back?" I asked. "Eh....about three o clock this morning." He said. "That's early." I said. He nodded. "Yep. Oh. Here's some pictures of my nephew." He said, pulling out his phone. I looked at it. "He's small." I said. "Yeah he was due next month but I guess he couldn't wait." Kyle said. I looked down at Angel.
She was staring into outer space. I blew a breath and laid my head down. As soon as my head hit the pillows, I fell asleep. I woke up hot and sweating. I looked down to see Angel gone. I sat up and looked down. Kyle was gone. Eliza was gone. And Alex was gone. I stood up and walked out the door and downstairs.
I saw Angel sitting on the couch watching TV. She looked over at me but didn't say anything. I walked over to her and sat down. "Your awake finally." She said, after a moment. I shrugged. "I guess I was more tired than I thought." I said. I looked over at the windows and saw it was dark outside. "What time it?" I asked, curiously.
"Eight o clock." She said. "What?! It was two when we came here." I said. She shrugged. "It's time Hunter." She said. I looked around. "Where's my parents?" I asked. "They left to get Violet from a friend's." She said. I looked at Angel. I looked her up and down carefully. "You okay? You're awfully calm." I said. She nodded.
"I'm fine. I took a nap and woke up. I didn't wanna wake you so I came down here." She said. I looked at the TV. It was a documentary on pregnancy. I looked at Angel. "Why are you watching this?" I asked. "I wanna know what I'm getting myself into." She said. She sighed. "I know I haven't been easy on you Hunter." She said.
"Yeah you haven't." I said. She gave me a sideways glance. "I'm just scared Hunter." She said. "So am I." I said. "You don't seem like it." She said. "Angel I'm next in line for this damn throne. My Dad is having a royal dinner tomorrow night and he's gonna announce that I'm taking over his throne. I'm not ready. Plus I have to keep my mermen secret, keep you a secret, and now I have to worry about keeping a whole baby a secret?" I said.
She took a deep breath and sighed. "Like I said Hunter, I am just scared. This is so sudden. Neither of us is ready for a baby. Like Elease said, we're still babies ourselves. I can't take of a baby. I still have a lot of life to experience. I still have the rest of my life to have kids. I do want kids on day, but I don't want one right now." She said.
"How do you think I feel Angel? But you know what? I'm not the one going around making threats to a baby, whose not even close to coming into this world." I said. "Hunter I'm not perfect. And I'm sorry I've been pissed pff at our baby when they haven't even done anything to me. I'm just scared and don't know what to do. I mean what am I gonna tell my Mama?" She asked.
"I don't know." I said. "Exactly. Hunter I'm not ready. I'm way too young to be having kids right now. We both are." She said. "Well we're not getting an abortion." I said, looking at her. "I didn't said anything about that." She said. "You didn't have to. You've been dropping hints. You constantly say how you hate being pregnant." I said.
She picked up a pillow and screamed into it. "No need to remind me Hunter. I'm aware of what I've been saying." She said. "Angel I love you but you're will NOT keep making threats and talking shit about our unborn baby." I said. She rested her head on her fist. "I know. I'm gonna stop. I think I got all on my anger out." She said. "I hope so." I muttered.
"What?" She said. "Nothing." I said. I blew a breath. "Look Angel. We just need to get through this together. No more angry outbursts, no more threats, no more mood swings." I said. She looked at me. "I don't think that one is my fault." She said. I made a face. She shook her head. "So what should we do?" She asked.
I thought about it. "I don't know yet but we can't keep this secret for much longer." I said. She looked at me. "So what should we do Hunter?" She asked. I looked at her. "Just tell everyone." I said. She gasped.
