Chapter 27

He pulls back slightly and stare deeply into my eyes. "I love you so much... I can't imagine my life without you. Please don't scare me like that again..." he said. A few tears streams down his cheeks. I raise my hand and wipe them away. "I love you too, Gaara... I'm not going anywhere..." I said. "Promise?" He asks. I nod my head with a soft smile. He smiles back and leans in for another kiss.

Y/N P.O.V

It took me a month to fully recover. Gaara choose to stay here until I get better. Lady Tsunade grants him the permission to stay here. Sunagakure and Konoha have agreed to become an ally. I guess that's why she allows Gaara to stay here.

Gaara is sitting on the seat next to the bed. He made sure that I keep laying down. Only sitting up when I needed to eat or drink. But other than that, he insist that I need to stay lay down. He changed a lot... the first time we met, he was so cold and didn't hesitate to kill. But now... he's really caring.

He's holding my hand. "I'm glad that you're feeling better now. Your scars are slowly healing. Tough I wish for it to heal faster. I hate seeing you in pain..." he said. I smile softly at him. I caress his hand that's holding mine. "you don't have to worry about me... it didn't hurt that much anymore..." I said. He let out a sigh "I know... but still... I wish you can get better a lot sooner... not taking a whole month..." he said, his voice almost sound like sulking. I let out a giggle. I gesture him to come closer and he did. I gently cup his cheeks. "Don't worry..." I said. He just hummed and lean into my touch. Then he leans in and place a soft kiss on my lips. I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him back.

A knock on the door, makes us pull away. I turn to the door to see Naruto. He looks like he will be going somewhere. "Hey, Y/N-Chan... Gaara..." he said with a smile on his face. "Hey there, Naruto..." I said. He walks in the room and approach us. "How are you feeling, Y/N-Chan?" He asks. "Never better... I'm okay... sheesh you all worried too much..." I said, laughing slightly.

"Are you going somewhere? I see you're packed..." I asks, gesturing towards his backpack. He looks at his backpack, then at me. "Oh... yeah... that is going to train me. So I will be leaving Konoha for a while..." he said. "Oh..." I said, my voice turns into a sad one. "Hey... don't worry... I'll come back... I need to do this training in order to get stronger... so I can bring Sasuke back..." he said. I just nod my head, I sit up with Gaara's help. I spread my arms signaling I want a hug. He leans forward and hugs me. "I'm going to miss you, Naruto..." I whispers. He chuckles "you act like I'll be gone forever, but... I'll miss you too, Y/N-Chan..." he said. I pull away and pout at him. "Hey! You're my best friend... it's normal, right?" I said. He chuckles again "yeah... of course it's normal. I'm just messing with you..." he said. I roll my eyes and push his forehead with my index and middle fingers.

"I'm sorry I can't see you off, Naruto... 1. Because I'm not suppose to leave the hospital, and 2. He won't let me get off the bed..." I said, pointing to Gaara as I said the second one. Gaara chuckles at me. "What? I did that to protect you..." he said. I just giggle and peck his lips. "I know, baby... I know..." I said. He press his lips on my forehead.

"It's okay, Y/N-Chan... that's why I came here. So I can see you before I leave..." he said. I smile softly at him. "Be careful out there, yeah? It'll be far more dangerous than anything you've ever faced before" I said, looking at him worriedly. "Hey hey hey... I'm a strong man! Don't underestimate me" he said. I let out a laugh.

Another knocking sound makes us turn our head to the door. This time is Master Jiraiya. "Master..." I said, bowing at him in a sitting position. I want to stand up so I could bow to him properly, but Gaara holds me in place. I glare at him and he just chuckle at me.

"Hey, Y/N... how are you feeling? Better?" He asks, smiling at me. "I'm doing fine, Master..." I said. He nods his head. "That's good to hear..." he said. Then he turns to look at Naruto. "Naruto... it's time to go" he said. Naruto nods his head "okay... just a second please... I need to talk to Y/N-Chan..." he said. He turns to me.

I hug him tightly. "Make sure to come back in one piece..." I said. "I will... don't worry, Y/N-Chan... I promise that I'll come back stronger... and we can bring Sasuke back..." he said. I smile at him and nod my head.

He gives me a sad smile. "Until we meet again, Y/N-Chan..." he said, placing a soft kiss on my forehead. I nod my head as tears stream down my cheeks. "Until we meet again..." I said. He gives me a last hug, then he turns around and walks towards the door. He gives me last glance and wave at me. I wave back with a smile. He gives me a grin and thumbs up. Then he turns around completely and leave the room.

Gaara caresses my hair, as I lean to his hug. "He'll come back, Y/N... don't worry... he's a strong guy... I'm sure he'll be okay..." he said. I smile at him and nod my head, feeling a lot calmer. Naruto isn't the type to get down so easily without one hell of a fight. He'll be okay... I know he will. Until we meet again...
