Alex spent that night attached to Barry like a leach. She refused to let go of him - much less let him out of her sight. He didn't mind the attachment, it was kind of cute how worried she was. After thinking that he had died, he could only imagine the pain that she was in. There were so many times that she stated that she didn't know what she would do without him.

Her worst dreams had come true and she feared that she did lose him. Like Cisco said though, everything had worked out in the end of it all and they were back together. Barry had his speed back and  a second chance to be the heroes that he was always meant to be. Alex truly felt blessed.

After they had taken Tony out for the second time, Barry had woken up Jesse from her short coma. He claimed that he didn't really know what was going on but blamed in on the Speed Force in him knowing. No one really knew what he meant besides Alex, she could feel the pull of it too.

Henry checked all of Barry's vitals to make sure that he was healthy and safe, which thankfully he was. His father had decided that he was going to move back to Central City for good this time. It was too long that he spent time away from his son - and he wanted to get to know Alex more as well. By the looks of it, she was going to be sticking around for quite a while.

Alex and Barry rushed home to their apartment and had barely made it into the shower together. The blood that once dripped down Alex's bruised face washed away down the drain. Barry felt guilty while he grazed over the bruises - he wasn't there to protect her. Now, he was determined to not let her get hurt again.

They had a long, hot, and steamy shower; not surprisingly it was her fault that they were in there for so long. Alex nearly dragged her boyfriend back to their bed, it was only a day that he was gone but the pain she felt seemed to last for eternity. Barry had assured her that he was fine and healthy - he went out of his way to prove it as well.

The next morning, Alex woke up to an empty bed. Panic set into her and she feared that Barry coming back to her was just a dream. She jumped out of bed and ran through the apartment to find him cooking her breakfast. There was a breath of relief, she had gotten so worried so quickly about him.

Alex stood there with messy hair and nothing but his t-shirt on. Barry complained that she had gotten out of bed and claimed that he had wanted to take breakfast to her. It was a thoughtful gesture, but she assured him that he didn't need to. She hugged him from behind as he continued to cook the bacon.

During breakfast, Barry told her everything that had happened to him while he was in the Speed Force. She listened intently as he spoke and nodded along to everything he said. She was intrigued but the situation that he was put in but was glad that he was back and with his speed as well. Everything on her side had made sense when he finished saying everything.

Barry told her that he wanted to go visit his mother's grave. In all of his years, he hadn't had the strength to go see her, but with the encouragement of the Speed Force and Alex by his side, he knew that he could do it. So, they had gotten dressed and took Alex's car to the cemetery.
