Barry, Alex, Oliver, Kendra, and Carter were all suited up and ready to meet Savage. The plan was rather simple. Kendra would be their ace in the hole, Oliver would put down cover fire, and Barry was going to be the one to use the gauntlet to grab the staff from Savage. Alex and Carter were there to keep Savage busy.
Their twenty-four hours were up and Alex couldn't help but feel a hole in her chest start to grow. They still had no idea why Barry ran back in time and she had a good feeling that they were going to discovery why that night. Whatever was going to happen, she just hoped that he would be able to save them all.
Alex also felt guilt consume her. She had over heard the fight between Felicity and Oliver and couldn't help but feel that it was her fault. Even though she didn't know fully what she was doing with those samples, she had a pretty good guess. It seemed that Felicity had found it out pretty quickly as well.
She couldn't let her emotions get the best of her as she walked into the warehouse along side the others. They needed to stop Vandal Savage once and for all. Kendra and Carter were in chains, just as Vandal Savage had hoped them to be. "You brought them, and dressed for the occasion too, I see."
"We're only doing this because two lives are worth two cities," Oliver told him.
"Well, in that case, you are wiser than I gave you credit for," Savage quipped. "It's been a life time. Still wearing those ridiculous outfits, I see. You don't need to be here for this, the culling has a tendency to be... unsightly," Savage showed off all the knives in his coat. "Your new friend betrayed you. It's wonderful to see you again, My love."
"I will never be your love," Kendra glared at him. Savage pulled out a knife and headed towards her. With an arm raised, it was Oliver that stopped the final blow. Alex quickly broke the chains that they were bound in, only to get hit with a beam of energy from the staff. She skidded across the floor.
Oliver fought Vandal to the best of his abilities while Kendra failed to use her powers. The plan relied on her being able to show her true abilities and she had failed to do so. It was Carter that paid that price as a dagger was thrown right into his chest. Kendra, in a fit of rage, tried to fight Savage but had the same fate.
Though they thought that they're plan was pretty stable, they didn't expect it to go this badly. Not only had Savage gotten exactly what he wanted by killing off the two, but he looked as if Barry, Oliver, and Alex were next. They had no idea how to kill an immortal man, especially with just the three of them.
Alex wearily watched the scene unfold in front of her. There was no way that they were going to be able to defeat him. She thought back to Barry and her's chat the night before about ghosting and she couldn't help but feel that this was the moment that he had taken the timeline into his own hands.
Oliver had fought off Savage enough to throw the staff away from him and towards Barry. He had picked it up and hit the beam right towards Vandal Savage but the gauntlets that Cisco had created hadn't been working well enough. The raw power was far too strong for him to manage on his own and he could tell that this wasn't going to work.
