"Bare, you ready to go? Oh, hey Julian," Alex Holt walked into Barry's lab right at seven o'clock on the dot. After their fight about him keeping secrets from her, he had promised to take her out on a nice date. He said it wasn't going to be anything fancy since it was never her style, which had made her even more excited.
She left STAR Labs early that evening with Cisco wondering where she was off to with a smile on her face - one that he hadn't seen in a long time. Since she and Wally had made up, her mood had been lifted immensely. She was ecstatic that they were back to where they used to be, or getting there at least.
The team easily noticed it. Not to mention with her and Wally back on good terms, Iris had cozy-ed back up to Alex a little more as well. The team was getting back together for good this time. No matter the changes that Barry had made, they would always be the team that they were in the beginning.
That evening, Alex promised to meet him at work so they could go straight to their date. He didn't tell her what it was, but she figured that he would pick well. Like he said himself, Barry knew her more than she knew her self - which was saying something with the kind of meta human powers she had.
"Ms. Holt, always a pleasure to see you," Julian nodded his head. Barry looked confused at the interaction between the two. He didn't know how they could stand each other, he hated the guy. "I assume you're here to pick up your lousy boyfriend once again?"
"Of course," Alex grasped Barry's arm and stood on her toes to kiss his cheek. She waved bye at him and dragged Barry out of there before he could start an argument with him. Each time she stopped by the lab he had always made a point to show that he was better that Julian in some sort of way.
As soon as they were out of eyesight, Barry spoke, "What the hell was that? He's nice to you? And you're nice to him!?" He pointed back in the direction of his lab. Alex confusingly nodded her head, he had known that they were on good terms - at least they were after a couple months. The first time she had shown up with Julian there, it had not ended well.
He accused her of being a lying thief - which she was at one point - and questioned how she was even allowed in the precinct without cuffs on her wrists. It was Joe that had pulled him away from her saying that she was a changed person and worked at STAR Labs, often helping the CCPD instead.
Julian still didn't trust her until she was able to help him solve a metahuman case that he had been stuck on for weeks. She didn't even mean to give him a hand with it but she needed his help with it as well. At first, he didn't believe her words about helping to put the meta away but when she had been proven right, he had learned to trust her.
After that, the two had gotten along quite well - which Barry couldn't stand. Alex knew it all too well, and to be honest, had befriended him just to spite Barry. After a short amount of time, she learned that she actually enjoyed spending time with Julian and helped him with cases from time to time whenever he needed a second pair of eyes.
