"Who the fuck are you?"

Eagan's parents weren't kidding when they said Shadis was going to be incredibly tough. His voice could project halfway across the world.

The first victim of his wrath was a blond kid. "Armin Arlert of Shiganshina," apparently. The name of the place he was from struck me as familiar.

It didn't take long for me to remember. It was the city where my parents went on a business trip that one year, the city that got destroyed shortly after.

It was also the city where I stabbed a guy in the foot, but what are the chances of running into him ever again, right?

I observed the blond. Looking around me, I wondered if anyone else was from the same district.

The questioning dragged on. More people were violently interrogated. I recognized two guys who were questioned. One was Marco Bodt, whose answer was almost too good to be true.

"I want to offer my life to protect and serve the king, sir!" He said with a smile.

I thought, Does anyone even give a shit about the king?

"The king doesn't need your measly life!" Shadis shouted. "You are nothing more than titan chow," he shouted as he walked away.

Then, there was the asshole who stupidly admitted he wanted a nice cozy life in the interior. I had to hand it to Jean, even though that was an idiotic move. Only a few people would have the guts to openly admit they were cowardly enough to want to live inside Sina.

The best part was when Shadis head butted Jean, who collapsed to the floor in a mess. To me, it was a beautiful scene.

After that were Connie, and Sasha.

Connie did his salute wrong. He had his fist over his right lung rather than his heart. What shocked me was how Shadis was able to pick up Connie by his empty brain without tearing the skin from his eyes.

Suddenly, there was a loud munching sound. Everyone looked over to the source. Sasha was eating a potato.

I had to do everything to keep myself from laughing. Everyone else stared at Sasha like she was in the biggest trouble. I thought the same thing, but I saw it in a funny way.

After getting lost in my thoughts for a while, I decided to tune back in.

"Here you can have this half," Sasha said while holding up clearly less than half of the potato.

I finalized that either she was incredibly witty (which I would applaud), or she didn't know what she was doing.

"Run. Now!" Shadis shouted in Sasha's face.

After Shadis sent Sasha to her potential death by running, he scanned the crowd for a face that was overflowed with fear. Once he targeted the face, he never kept his eyes off it while moving towards it. The face began to show more fear. It was a familiar face. He was walking right through the crowd straight at Taylor.

"Who are you??"

"T-Tay-lor!" She stuttered. "Schaefer!"

"From where, you miserable maggot?"

"Hermiha District!" Taylor shouted.

"The inner walls, huh?" Shadis asked. "Then what are you doing so far away from your cozy home?"

Taylor looked like she was about to burst into tears. She was at the point where she would say the first thing that popped into her head.

And Taylor did just that.
