"Woah, slow down, wait up," I interrupted again. "Wait... wait... what?"
"Okay so Eren was dead," Jonathan stated.
Jean and the others nodded.
"He got eaten by a titan while saving Armin," I added.
They nodded once again.
"And then he just emerged from the titan?" Jonathan asked.
"That's all we know," Jean stated.
"So where are Eren, Armin, and Mikasa now?" I asked.
"You aren't supposed to know," Jean stated.
"But do you?" I asked crossing my arms.
Jonathan took a step back. He knew that whenever I was mad or wanted to know something, crossing my arms was a bad sign.
Jean didn't reply, so, rather forcefully, I got a hold of his collar and yanked him down so we were face to face. Literally.
"If you know something, you better spit it out," I threatened.
"It's best if the majority doesn't know," Jean stated.
"I was there when he popped out of that titan like a weasel out of an arm so I deserve to know," I demanded an answer.
He stared at me for a second like I was crazy. "That analogy made no sense."
When I decided that was enough tormenting I pushed him away and walked off.
"Sorry about her," I heard Jonathan apologize for me. "She's just slightly on edge."
"Sorry I'm not sorry," I shouted back.
Soon, I heard quick footsteps on the pavement behind me me, which I assumed were Jonathan's as he ran after me. My assumption was correct.
"How about I get us something to snack on?" I heard his voice.
"Sounds good," I said without turning around.
He bought us a loaf of bread and split it in half, or rather three quarters, giving me the bigger piece. I accepted it without thinking twice. I was hungry.
"Are you mad at me again?" He asked.
"No," I answered. "I'm just mad at other people."
He scoffed. "It's sometimes hard to tell if you're mad at me or other people."
"I'd say so," I shrugged, "now you, I can tell when you're not mad at me because you talk to me. But it's sometimes hard to understand why you're mad."
"In what way?" He asked.
"You don't really talk to me at all when you're mad," I answered. "It's hard to communicate with you."
"It's hard to reason with you when you're mad, too," he stated.
"At least when I'm mad, I let you know that I'm mad," I pointed out.
"Come on," Jonathan said. "You have known me long enough to know when I am mad."
"I know," I said. "And I do know when you're mad. It's trying to talk to you that's the problem."
There was a familiar yellow-green light that illuminated the sky. This was followed by the unmistakable smoke of a titan.
I stood up. "Why the fuck does shit like this keep happening?" I started to run towards the smoke, but Jonathan grabbed my arm and stopped me.
"Excuse you!" I shouted.
He ignored my comment and pointed at some soldiers, all friends with Eren, Mikasa, and Armin. They ran after the smoke as well.
