Why is the sky so beautiful? I mean, look at it! The thing about sky is that no matter for how long you are seeing it, it remains splendid. You never get bore, even if you're just looking at it's blueness. The sky is not just a thing, it's everything. More than you'll ever know.

"I wish we could live on the clouds", Harry said, as Grace and I were seated beside him on the aeroplane, staring outside.
I was finally going home, yes I was.
Grace and I both looked at eachother and smiled, remembering the time when we were kids and dreamt the same stupid thing.
"Yeah it would have been amazing to see everything from up here and riding unicorns." I said, while stroking his hair.
He smiled and asked,
"Do you think unicorns are real?"
I thought for a while and said,
"Those who do not believe in magic, won't find it."
He nodded and looked outside.
I looked away from him, and to look away from him meant to look at Grace.

She was beautiful. The kind of beautiful you would spend your whole life seeing. Not the kind of beautiful that you see on television screen everyday, or on those vogue magazines. That is fake kind of beautiful mostly, ain't it?
Grace wasn't beautiful from outside only, but her heart was much more. She was beautiful like the sun or coffee : not only they looked good, but felt the same way.
I could have fallen in love with Grace with my eyes closed. It was never the way she looked, but the way she felt.
Maybe the word beauty was invented for her.

"Two champagnes please." Grace said as the blonde waitress passed us.
She gave us both full glasses of champagne and trust me, it felt like God came down himself and poured some magic in it.
"So," she said and then continued,
"Do you think Florida will be the same?"
I nodded and said,
"Atleast those trees and sunsets and streets and rooftops and that feeling will be the same."
She gave me a deadly look and said,
"How dare you forget the lake, Daniel Steve?"
I bit my lips, smiled and said,
"It's understood that the lake will always be the same. You know why?"
She placed her hand on my leg and I melted, wanting her hand to stay there. She whispered,
"Let the truth be showered upon me."
I laughed, placed my hand on hers, and said,
"Because we're still the same. As long as we remain together, the lake will always be the same. It will always be ours."
She looked outisde the window, silence fell between us for an infinite moment, and said,
"God, you read so many romantic books."
"I don't think I need them as long as I have you." I replied.
"Are you excited to meet Chris?" She asked me.
Chris. Right. I hadn't called him since I left for Florida. We hadn't talked since the day I left. Since the day we both fought about me going to Amsterdam.
But damn! I missed him.
"Of course I am. And William too. And Tony." I replied.
"The one who is your neighbour?" She asked, as I had told her few days ago about him and how he was the one who convinced me to find her.
"Yep. I'm pretty excited." I said and inhaled deeply.
She sighed and spoke,
"I'm just excited to feel that way again. It's the place where we first met. I want to feel that air of my childhood again. Childhood is the only thing we all miss, Daniel."
I nodded and planted a small kiss on her cheek. She smiled and slept on my shoulder while I looked outside the still sky.
She was my Rose. I was her Jack. I'll go all the way down with her.

The streets were the same. The houses were the same. Even the  cars were parked at their same old place. Same old mockingbirds were singing their old melodies. It was like the place never missed us. It kept on being the same.
I was glad as I couldn't have bear if it really changed. My good ol' hometown.
