--Here are few things you didn't know about "Continued Silence" :
1. The name of the book was inspired by 'Imagine Dragons' album "Continued Silence". When I first read the name, I knew it would be my first novel's name, the way they both make me cry.
2. The cover of this book came into existence after a long journey. First me and my friend had decided to make some "sad love image" the cover, but then we came across this simple flower and we both knew it would be the one. It is just a flower, yet it always makes me sad and lonely, maybe there is some meaning behind it too.
3. I had never really BELIEVED this book would happen. I mean, I had always wanted to write something, but really didn't know it would become a reality. The idea had just started a year ago, and I started writing day by day. But then after writing few chapters, I got serious about it and decided to make their story happen till the end.
4. The name of the characters also carry a big story behind them. Me and my paul Rohama would look for the perfect names everyday, until Grace popped up out of nowhere, and we both agreed. The name of Daniel was just a miracle. I had always loved this name, but I had forgotten about it while we were discussing the names for the book (yeah, my memory), but then my Best Friend randomly said, "Hey, what about Daniel?" And I was like, "Oh yes yes yessss!! It's my favourite name. Wonder why I didn't remember it", and boom, we have Daniel. The decision for last names wasn't that tough, and we decided Anderson for Grace, as it felt perfect. Daniel was first "Daniel Eve", but then I changed it to "Daniel Steve."
5. William was supposed to fall in love with Grace Anderson too, and then I would make both Daniel and William fight for the girl, and ruin the friendship. But then I thought that Daniel needed a best friend in his life like William (everybody does, and Rohama you are my William), so I dropped off this idea.
6. At first I wanted to make Grace Anderson a girl full of attitude and no interest in boys, specifically like Daniel. But then I thought that this role won't suit her, and that they were supposed to fall in love together, at first sight.
7. When they both met again in Amsterdam, first I had decided that Grace was already going to marry another boy, but then, it would have been so unfair to Daniel, plus Grace couldn't do that ever, as she loved him.
8. The characters feel so real to me, only because I had given my dreams to them. For instance, Daniel wanted to a writer, and that's what I want too. Moreover, how Grace helped people and made a foundation, is my dream too. I had always wanted to do this.
9. Mellows is just a fictional band I created that sings country songs. I made it all up because I would like them to exist.
10. Grace's father was supposed to die too, in Amsterdam, but then I thought there wasn't any point in killing him, (there wasn't even any in letting him live, but anyways). Incidentally, the parents of Daniel died, only because I wanted him to believe that after all that happened, he could still find Grace and move on, as his last hope.
11. Grace Anderson was also supposed to die (I know I love killings), while in ICU, after donating that kideny. I thought it would be a meaningful death, and she would die as a hero. But it wasn't fair to Daniel, he had already lost his parents and Grace was her only hope. Anyways, it's not always necessary that you'll be a hero by dying in doing something right, you can always be a hero without dying. And Grace really is.
12. As you see, there isn't any antagonist in this novel. Ethan was just a bully and a jerk, but didn't come between Grace and Daniel. He even become good in the end, realizing his mistakes. He was just a boy who represented that rude people can still become good in the end. A heart can always become soft again, if you let it be.
So, the only antagonist in the story is life itself, how it separated Daniel and Grace. I just wanted readers to know that even if there isn't any visible force stopping you, there is always life, wanting to take you down.13. All through my novel, no matter what had happened, Grace and Daniel wouldn't stop loving eachother. That, was what I wanted to show : true love. People around me will say that true love doesn't exist and that it's a fake idea, but then, let me tell you this : it's not love that is fake, but rather us. Love isn't a game, rather the best feeling in the world, but we, as humans, had made a game out of it and in the end blaming and saying "Meh, true love doesn't exist". For me, it's upto us to stick together and love the flaws of eachother, just like Daniel and Grace stayed together, even though by being separated by distance.
For me, true love does exist. And I hope no matter where we all are, we find someone who won't give up on us.---anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed this book, and believe in me enough to write another one!
Love you all!♥♥♥♥♥♥
