Just like Before

Chapter 9

*GRACE POV*

I woke up slowly and saw a sleeping Hayes next to me, with his arm draped around my waist. I remembered yesterday's events and smiled. Hayes was so sweet to take me out to that restaurant.

I got up to take a quick shower. Once that was done, I was getting ready to head downstairs, but something stopped me.

"Morning." he whispered. Hayes' arms were around my waist and his chin was resting on the top of my head.

"Good morning." I smiled. I turned my head towards him and pecked his lips.

"I'll be down soon." he said. I nodded and he let go of me. I walked down the stairs and Sammy was staring at me.

"What?" I asked confused.

"You know what." she said sternly. Is she mad? "Did you and Hayes... you know....." she trailed off. She was whispering because of the fear of someone hearing.

My face heated up so much and I hid my face in my hands. "Oh my god." I mumbled.

"You did!!" she said excitedly. "You're lucky everyone went outside and I was the only one in the house." she snickered and walked away.

'I can't believe that happened.' I thought to myself.

I ignored it an made myself some breakfast. Today is the last day here at the beach house and I'm really going to be sad when we leave because this was so fun, and I have to leave Jillian and my parents.

*HAYES POV*

This morning after I woke up, I took a shower and got dressed. Since it's our last day here I packed a few things and then headed downstairs and saw Grace making eggs.

"Hayes do you want some eggs?" she offered.

"Sure." I nodded and smiled. She also nodded. "Where are your parents?" I asked her. I could see everyone sitting on the deck outside, but her parents weren't there.

"I think they went to the grocery store to pick up a few things. My mom said she wants to have a big lunch with everyone together since it's the last day." she replied as she handed me a plate with scrambled eggs.

I nodded to her explanation and thanked her for the food. We both ate in silence.

"I'm gonna go sit out there with them." I told her.

"Okay. I'm going to go pack up some stuff." she replied and headed upstairs. I opened the door to the deck and everyone said hi. Sammy kept eyeing me and honestly it was creeping me out.

"Hey guys." I said as I sat down in a chair next to Nash. He raised his eyebrows at me and I gave him the 'what' look. No one was paying attention to us, so he pulled me aside so we were standing at the other end of the deck.

"Sammy told me something." was all he said. I looked at him confused, but hoped it's not what I think it is.

"What did she tell you?" I questioned.

"I'm the only one she told, and I won't tell anyone okay?"

"What is it Nash?" I asked, becoming anxious.

"Sammy told me that you and Grace had sex last night." he whispered. My eyes went wide and I felt my face heat up.

"Why would she tell you that?" I asked, confused how she would even know. Did Grace tell her? It's not like I'm mad or anything but, I don't know.

"I don't know. Ask her, but what I'm trying to say is that Grace is like a sister to me so, did you guys use pr-"

I cut him off. "Yes of course!" I whisper shouted. He nodded and we just stood there.

"Hey, nice job by the way." he smirked. I rolled my eyes and went inside to talk to Grace.

"Grace?" I called as I knocked on the bedroom door.

"Yeah?" she opened it.

"Can I talk to you?" I asked her. She nodded but looked a little worried. "So basically, Nash told me Sammy told him we had sex."

"Um, well Sammy told me she knew this morning. I didn't think she would tell anyone though." she looked a little offended.

"Hey it's okay. Don't worry." I went up and hugged her and kissed her forehead.

*GRACE POV*

I was helping my mom set up the table for the lunch she and my dad made. I set all the plates and napkins down while my mom set the food down.

"Hey guys lunch is ready." I called to everyone who were sitting on the couches in the living area. They all got up, thanked my parents and we all sat down at the table. I sat next to Hayes and Sammy was in front of me. We all had conversations going and we were constantly laughing and smiling. It was really fun and I will miss everyone here so much.
