Chapter 21: I Lost Her To My Best Friend.

Calum.

I lost her. I lost the girl I love to my best friend. He fucken took advantage of this whole situation. That asshole stole my girl.

I slammed the door shut, walking into the living room and throwing my keys on the coffee table.

"Someone came back grumpy." I looked up at saw Michael, Kayla, and Ashton still in my house, sitting on the couch.

"Shut the fuck up." I snapped, walking into the kitchen to get a beer and popping the cap open, taking a swing of the alcohol.

"Okay, Cal, can you please calm down and tell us what happened?" Ashton asked, looking at me worried along with Michael and Kayla.

I clenched my jaw, thinking back to when I saw Abi on Luke's lap, making out with him. "Luke is what fucking happened!" I raised my voice, throwing my hands up. "He fucking stole Abi from me and he knew I wanted to get her back!" I groaned, taking another swing of my beer and plopping down on the other couch.

That fucker took my baby girl from me.

Ashton sighed as he rubbed his face, Michael leaned forward to look at me. "Cal, tell us all that happened." Mike said, I sighed once more drinking the rest of my beer.

"I went back to Abi's apartment to tell her about the key I made." They nodded at me, waiting for me to continue. "Well, my dumbass walked in without knocking-"

"Oh my god, you walked in on them having sex!" Michael blurted out, covering his mouth.

"Michael! Let him talk!" Kayla smacked his arm, scolding him.

"No, but if I did I'd probably beat up Luke."

"But you two aren't together anymore, so it wouldn't make sense." Ashton spoke up, tilting his head to the side. I glared at him as he held his hands up in defense.

"As I was saying before." I ran a hand through my hair. "I walked in and saw Abi on Luke's lap. Making out with him as he had his hands on her ass." By now my nostrils flared as I thought back to earlier.

"What did you do when you saw them?" Kayla asked.

I looked at her as I took a breath. "I walked out and slammed the door behind me. I wanted to punch a wall, but at the same time I wanted to leave and not think it was real." I leaned back on the couch, looking at my hands. "She then came out, glaring at me and asking why I came back. I ignored her question and asked why she was with Luke. She said that she was Luke's new "girlfriend"." Emphasing on "girlfriend" I felt like everything was sinking in now.

"Whoa." Michael whispered.

"I couldn't take it anymore, especially when she thought that last night was another of my one-night stands."

"Well did you tell her it wasn't sex, but making love?" Kayla asked.

I nodded. "She then turned away from me and well before she went back inside I gave her, her key back and ran into the next elevator that came, I didn't want her to see me break." That's when a few tears left my eyes, rolling down my cheeks.

"Oh Calum." Ashton and Kayla came to my side and gave me a group hug. Ashton patted my shoulder as Kayla rubbed my back.

"I got it!" Michael yelled, making Kayla jump and Ash and I to look at him like he was crazy. "I know how you can steal Abi from Luke!"

Abigail.

"Why are we in Toys-R-Us again?" I asked for the second time now, as Luke dragged me into another isle. We've practically been here for almost an hour looking for god knows what Luke is searching for.

He pulled me in front of him and pushed me against a shelf, smirking as he leaned down, grabbing something from behind me as my breath hitched when he gave me a kiss on the corner of my lips. "You okay?" He asked, lifting his eyebrows up and tilting his head to the side.

"Yeah." I breathed out, looking down to see what he had in his hands. "A nerf gun? Really, Luke?" He smiled as he went to grab another one, handing it to me.

"We're going to have the most epic nerf gun battle ever." He grabbed my hand, interwining our fingers together as we walked to the cash registers to pay for our items.

Giggling and laughter filled the apartment as nerf bullets were layed all over. I was on my last nerf bullet, awaiting for my opportunity shot as I hid behind the couch, clutching my nerf gun to my chest.

"Abi bi! Where are you? I promise I won't shot...unless you surrender." I could tell Luke was smirking, the way he said it.

"Keep dreaming, Hemmings!" I yelled back. I looked around the couch, taking in my surroundings. The coast was clear. I stood up and walked quickly to a wall, pressing my back against it as I looked through the hallway, checking if Luke was somewhere in sight.

"Gotcha." Luke whispered in my ear, pressing his nerf gun to my back, his warm breath hitting my neck.

"Fuck." I mumbled, dropping my nerf gun to the floor and raising my hands up in surrender.

Luke turned me around, facing him as he had black paint lines underneath his eyes. He dropped his gun, pressing me against the wall. "Game over, baby." He pressed his lips against mine, sliding his tongue on my bottom lip, asking for permission.

Declining his request, his hands came to squeeze my butt, a moan escaping my mouth as he took that opportunity to slip his tongue inside. Our tongues battled for what seemed like hours on end.

We both pulled away, breathing heavily as he laid his forehead against mine, grinning as his teeth showed. "I love you, Abi." I was shocked at what he had just said. He loved me? He kissed my nose and closed his eyes. "I understand if you don't say it right now. I'll wait." I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him in and burring my face in his neck.

Would I be able to love Luke like how I loved Calum?
