Kabanata V
I yawned and fixed my bedroom. Like my routine, I took a bath, dressed in a school uniform, and dried my hair and curled the tips of it.
I started driving to school. I slowed down when my phone rang. Ini-connect ko ito sa speaker at sinagot. I ran my car to the minimum speed.
''Hello, Dad?''
''How are you and Victor's son?'' I pursed my lips of Dad's greet. Tito Victor is Vale's Dad. The two cared about me that I wished I am their daughter. Unlike Dad, he didn't care about me, he cares about his business and name. He and Mom are compatible, they only care about their business. They didn't even married for what they called love, they married for convenience.
''We're good, Dad.''
''I heard about the University Ball. You should be with him and get to know each other if you don't want to lose your cards.'' I bitterly smiled.
''But Dad---"
"No objections." I quietly sighed.
''Yes, Dad.'' He ended the call after that. He didn't even bother to know if I'm doing okay or if I want to be with Vale. But well, I'm immune to it. Sanay na sanay ako sa kanilang dalawa ni Mommy, Dad is just the more strict one. He doesn't take no for an answer and he doesn't care about what his pawns say. After all, I was just born for their business. I don't like it, I feel like I'm carrying a large burden on my shoulders.
I safely arrived at the school. Dumiretso muna ako sa cafeteria dahil hindi ako kumain ng pang-agahan kanina, my time is also free for about an hour so I will just waste my time in the cafeteria.
I ordered pancakes with maple syrup and coffee. She placed her food in the table and enlarged her eyes when I looked at her.
''What, bitch? I'm hungry." Then she took a bite of the lasagna she ordered.
''Bakit ka kasi hindi kumain kanina?'' Tumaas ang kilay ko dito.
''Nalimutan ko. I forgot to eat.''
''Bitch, what? You forgot to eat? Ang takaw mo kaya, how can you forgot food?'' I asked as I sip on my coffee. I blowed it a few times before drinking coffee again.
''Ang gwapo kasi ni Xandro. All I could do is tp stare at him while eating. Ang hot niya.'' She giggled. Tumaas ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya. I smirked and pretended to drink coffee so she can't see it.
''Ang landi mo. May girlfriend siya, bitch.'' She gasped. The cup is still in my mouth and the coffee is feeling my lips, hindi ako uminom at tinago ang kaunting ngisi ko.
''What? Sinabi niya?'' I nodded.
''Oh my god!" She hysterically exclaimed. Napatingin ang iba sa amin ngunit hindi niya yon pinansin.
''Bakit hindi niya sinabi sa akin yon?''
''Baka hindi ka nakikinig.'' Napatanga siya roon at kumunot ang noo. She's looking outside like she's in a deep thought. She bit her lower lip and blinked two times before looking at me.
''Ah oo pala. I wasn't really paying attention of what he said but I heard the girlfriend. Hindi ko kasi mapigilang titigan siya. He's gwapo.'' Ngumiwi siya. I rolled my eyes before placing the cup in the table. Wala na ang ngisi ko.
