Nava's PoV

We came up with a plan after a huge group of Kagonesti showed up. Apparently Quintrine did the bird call for need help instead of help is coming. One Kagonesti Elf is translating back and forth from Kagonesti to Common for everyone. Not every Kagonesti clan knows Common. Nightbreeze’s dad tells us through the translator “We will do anything we can to save our own kind. Especially my daughter, the future leader of our clan.” The other clans agree. Rosa quietly tells me “Did Nightbreeze ever tell us she is her clans future leader?”

“No she didn't. I wonder if she knew that.”

“I'm not sure. She was a slave for twenty years.”

Nightbreeze’s mom tells us in Common “We have extras. If anyone needs it.”

We look and they have a huge collection of bows, arrows, and swords. We make a plan to have everyone who can and wants to help us. A majority of the people in the cave are willing to use the extra bows until the fighting gets sword on sword. They don't have armor so when the Highlord army starts heading to them they will retreat. Rosa and Quintrine like all the other Kagonesti’s will use their bows until it's sword on sword. Elves are trained to fight with multiple weapons but we all have our main weapon. My main is my dual swords. I really only use my bow to go hunting and maybe in a fight. Me, the Knight's, and part of the Kagonesti group will charge for the army right away. We all get what we need and start getting ready. The Dark Knights aren't patrolling the woods tonight. I'm not sure why. When it's early in the morning we are all in position. The whole army is surrounding their leader. I'm guessing he is probably giving them orders. I thought that it was orders until I hear cheering. Then all of a sudden the Kagonesti’s do there bird calls and we start to charge down to the army. I have my swords and I run towards the army. They are all surprised to see us. We knock down a good number of them before they draw weapons and start fighting. I'm fighting and looking for Nightbreeze. I'm trying to figure out where she is. I see the leader and some of his men leaving the opposite way of the fighting. I dodge a sword hit and start going back and forth with a swordsman. We go back and forth until I win and I move on. I finally spot Nightbreeze on the ground and start heading over to her. Please don't let her be dead. I quickly get over to her and some Kagonesti’s surround me. I put my swords down and kneel down by her. She is still breathing but she is badly bleeding. I take off my cloak and wrap it around her stomach. It's bleeding the worst there. Her father comes and says in rough Common. “I will carry her out.”

“I thought you didn't know Common.”

“Very little.”

He puts his sword in his scabbard and picks up Nightbreeze. I quickly get up and grab my swords. The Highlord army is slowly retreating and we are slowly heading back to the hidden cave. We all go into the hidden cave a couple at a time. We don't want the Dark Knights to know where it is. We get inside the cave and Nightbreeze’s dad lays her down on the ground very gently. An Elf taking care of the injured comes over and checks her injuries. He says in Common, “I'm so sorry. If she doesn't get a healer than I don't think she will make it.”

I tell him, “You have to do something.”

“There's nothing I can do. I can help but I'm not a healer. If I do anything it will help her live longer but she would be in a lot of pain if she does wake up.”

Her father gets up and leaves the cave. I try to follow him but he gets way too far ahead of me. Kagonesti’s really do know how to disappear in the woods when they don't want to be followed. I get back to the cave and the Wizard appears. I tell him “Bring her to a healer.”

“I can't do that.”

“Yes you can!”

“A Wizard didn't injure her. I can't help. But help is on the way.”

“Who cares about the Wizards council! You should be able to help out more than just randomly coming every now and then telling me something I know.”

“If you don't want my help than I will stop coming. I won't save you anymore or help you out.”

“You can help me out by casting your spells.”

He teleports away and a few minutes later we hear hundreds of feet pounding on the ground. It's a huge group of Dwarves. They make a lot of noise going anywhere. I go outside and greet them. One of the Dwarves asks me “Do you need help?”

“The Highlord army is in that direction.” I point the direction and then ask him “Do you have a healer? One of ours is badly injured.”

“We have healers.”

The Dwarves leader that was talking to me sends half his army to go help fight the Highlord army and the other half to protect the injured getting back to the cave. The ten healers in their white robes came over to me and their leader. I bring them inside and the head healer goes over to Nightbreeze. He starts slowly healing her and eventually all her injuries are healed. But he has a look of concern on his face. Dwarves aren't usually concerned. I ask him, “What's wrong?”

“They were messing with her head. I'm not sure how much. I won't be able to help her until she wakes up. Which will be in a few days. She needs time to rest before she is completely healed. And I suggest we have someone watching her at all times.”

“Why do we need that?”

“Who knows what they did to her head. She could easily do anything like kill one of us.”

Rosa says “Her dad is back with her mom. He was really reckless out there. Elves don't usually get so reckless.”

After she says that Nightbreeze’s parents walk in. Her dad stays at a distance while her mom comes right over to us. She asks us “How is she doing?”

The healer says “I'm not sure. They messed with her head.”

“What does it mean?”

“Messing with her head? They used some kind of magic or something like that and messed with her memories. Something like that.”

Quintrine comes over and tells me, “We are getting ready to move the next group of people out of the cave.”

“Than go do it.”

“The problem is the army is still really close to us.”

“The Dwarven army is here to help us.”

The Dwarf leader sarcastically asks “Why else would we be here? To dig?”

Quintrine says “How would I know? I don't know what Dwarves do. You all have all kinds of jobs.”

The Dwarven leader leaves the cave to gather up his army. I look down and Nightbreeze is still unconscious. Even though I don't want to I have two of the Knights watch over her. I start helping the rest of the people in the cave get some supplies and start to slowly leave. When they finally all leave its late and the only people left in the cave are the injured, Dwarven healers, Rosa, Quintrine, Nightbreeze, Nightbreeze’s parents, and the ten Knights. There are some Kagonesti hiding in the woods watching the army and guarding the path to the next town. The healers are healing the injured and we are slowly moving them to the next town. Warlington was told by some Kagonesti before we started sending the people of Reilko there. They are getting supplies and places for them to stay in there town until the last person is there than they will all head to God City.
