Nightbreeze's PoV

I hurry after Crucible and head to the empty clearing in the woods. Crucible is there in his Dragon form. I quickly climb onto him and grab hold before he flies into the air. We fly above everyone else and get a better view of the fight. I tell Crucible “Use your lightning breathe and hit the piles of dead Ogres. It will light them on fire.”

“What about the others?”

“They will still climb over the dead piles and catch themselves on fire.”

Crucible flies and uses his breathe. The piles of the Highlord army's dead light on fire. The Ogres and Goblins keep trying to climb over and they light themselves on fire. When they try to stop the fire they spread it and it spreads to the others trying to put it out. The army starts to retreat and Crucible starts flying down and attacking some that are retreating. It seems like he forgot I am on his back without a harness. I tell to him“Stop! Let them go!” After a moment he reluctantly stops following them and flies to the town. He lands and I get off. The defenders come over and are cheering. They start asking him questions and he is answering them the best he can. Nava comes over to me and she doesn't look happy. She's always acting like our parent and honestly it's getting really annoying. I can take care of myself. I did take care of myself for a long time. Nava asks “Why didn't you tell us you were going to ride Crucible?”

“I didn't think you would believe it. And I was in a hurry. It helped us win.”

“It could have gotten you killed. You weren't strapped in.”

“I have come close to death plenty of times. You don't need to worry about me. Where are all the people?”

“Don't tell me not to worry. And we sent the people away while we were fighting. Part of the Knights left with them. They are all heading to God City. The Dwarves are going their own way except for a Healer. He is joining our group. We are going to catch up with them and help them get to God city than we will head our own way.”

I nod in agreement than I leave. I don't want to argue with Nava anymore. I know she's just being a leader and watching out for us. I'm not that upset but right now it's really annoying me. I know our dangers. Nava can't save me from everything. If that's what she wants to do than we wouldn't be here. We would be safely in a town somewhere. Or she wouldn't have even gotten me out of slavery. I don't know why I was chosen for this adventure. I was a slave and now I am a hero. Well we are all working on being a hero.
