I woke up to a silent house my dad had already gone and it was just me. I got my books and drove to landons house. I pulled into the driveways and went toward the back where the guest house was. I parked my bike and went towards the main house. "Hey mrs. Shay." I said as I walked through the back door headed upstairs to landons room. "Hello sweetie." She replied. I walked up the stairs and went down the hall toward landons room, when I walked in he was sliding on a t-shirt and fixing his hair. I walked toward him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Hey babe. I'm almost ready." I giggled, "You take longer to get ready than me and I'm a girl." He smiled and scooped me into his embrace. "Lakyn rose, I will tickle you to death if you don't take it back."
I looked at him and rolled my eyes, before I realized it he had tossed me on the bed and hovered over me tickling me. "S-s-stopppp" I was laughing so hard I began cackling. Landon has no remorse. "Take it back." He said as he continued to tickle me. "I-I takee it b-back." I laughed, he had gotten up and went into the bathroom. I followed close behind watching as he slipped in his shoes and brushed his teeth. I was so lucky.

We went through the school day as any other, dull and casual as they all were. I couldn't wait for graduation I was so tired of high school, I'd always had the book smarts and street smarts but I just wouldn't apply myself. Not that I thought I was dumb I just didn't care as much, but I'd held decent enough grades for college and I can pursue my dream job. The day of my graduation I planned to call my dad and let him watch over FaceTime. I was ready to go home and take a nap. So I met landon outside of class and we walked toward his truck. "Your awfully quiet." He muttered. "I'm really tired, and I feel odd." He looked confused. "What do you mean odd, are you ok?" I smiled. He always cares and is genuine and kind. "No I'm fine I'm just tired."

We arrived home and I went straight to landons room I laid on the bed and fell asleep. A while later I heard his brother come in the room. I kept my eyes shut I was still drowsy. And that's when he said it. Those 4 tiny words, formed into a huge question that I wasn't ready to ask much less hear. "Do you love her?" Anthony spoke shyly. "What? Who?" I stayed calm and kept "sleeping". "Laylay do you love her bubby? Like daddy loves mommy?" I couldn't figure out what could spark such a question in such a clueless little boys head. "Yes I do love her. With all my heart, she doesn't know it yet. The way she smiles, or how her nose crinkles when she laughs, and how she does little things to make my day better. One day you'll have that love little buddy."
"Oh because my girlfriends asked if I love them and I didn't know what to say." Landons almost choked on his drink. "G-girlfriends?" "Yep." And without another word Anthony went off to play.
