Chpt 25

We grabbed my go bag and went for the door. My contractions became worse and worse. The hospital wasn't far so we had enough time to make it. I got in the truck and beau sped to the hospital. We got there and he quickly picked me up and carried me in. The nurses took over and brought me to a room. Beau followed along closely. We were placed in a room and had to wait for a doctor. I couldn't believe my baby was already here, but I'm not with the man I should be with. I started thinking about landon and how much I had missed him. I missed the time we'd spend together and how he would adore me and I'm sure after I left he'd been worried sick. I changed my number and got a new phone so nobody could reach me. My fathers death hurt me but I had beau and he held me together and he was the breath of fresh air I'd needed. Now I have to show up back home and try to explain everything and with a baby at that.

My thoughts were interrupted by the doctor coming in. "Hello I'm doctor sinclaire, I'll be delivering tour baby tonight." I gave a slight smile and nodded. "Is this the baby's father?" I shook my head, "No, but he's all I have." The doctor turned to beau. "Ok well sir I'll need you to help keep young lady calm through the birthing process." Beau nodded and the doctor checked how many centimeters I'd dilated. "Ahhh your about ready. So I'll have the nurses bring you into the delivery room and we'll go from there." Not long after the doctor had left that the nurses came in and rolled my bed into a nearby delivery room. Beau followed by my side and held my hand the whole way. He pulled a chair near the bed and sat next to me whispering into my ear. "I'm here baby, I'll always be here. I wish this was our little baby but it's not and I respect that. I will be with you all the way and I wish you the best with the guy back home." I could tell this was hurting him but he was letting me go out of love. The doctor had everything ready to go. I was unsteady but I knew it was time, I looked at beau then at the doctor. "Let's deliver this baby." He said as I began to push.
