I walked down the football field. I seen landon talking to his parents so I shyly walked up. The wind began to blow and i was freezing. My teeth were chattering as I walked up. "Hey lakyn, here take my jacket." He said slide his letterman over me. I began to warm up and said thank you. His mother was beautiful she had short brown hairs and the prettiest eyes. His father was tall and handsome I see where landon gets his looks from. "Hi I'm lakyn." I said respectfully. His mom smiled bright and said " Hi lakyn, I'm shay and this is my husband Bradley. It's so nice to meet you." I smiled, we began to talk for a few minutes as the field got emptier and emptier by the minute. His parents said goodbye and left. "Landon?" I turned to him and looked up. "Kianee met a guy and she went eat with him, but she was my ride here." I was becoming nervous. He laughed and spoke. "It's alright doll, I can take you home." I smiled but I didn't wanna go home. "Can we go to Waffle House?" He looked confused. "Pleaseeee." I begged.
He couldn't help but laugh and wrap his arm around me, as we walked to his truck. I am very little I'm only 5'3 and landon is 6'2. His truck is very lifted so I was struggling to get in. Suddenly I felt a pair of warm hands slide up my waist and boost me up into the truck. I felt the blood rush to my checks and smiled.

We left the school and he let me hook my phone up to his truck. I played all my favorite songs as he sat there and laughed at me. We were almost to Waffle House when he turned the music low. "Hey, I'm really happy you hugged me after the game. My ex never did that, and I'm not trying to compare you to her but you made me feel special and proud of myself. I just wanted to say thank you, you made my night." My eyes were swelling up with tears and I was trying not to cry. I choked out the words, of course.
I leaned my head against the seat and he grabbed my hand and pulled it toward him. He held my hand until we got to Waffle House, and I really didn't mind. I could tell he was broken deep down and so was I. I jumped out the truck and ran inside. I loved waffle house so much, we ordered and waited for our food. We were talking and happy until that bitch walked in.
