The new girl

Chpt: 34

Things slowly progressed day by day. Everyone began packing and getting things we needed together. I hadn't talked to landon in a bit because when his parents found out we'd all be living together they weren't happy. I guess I understand their concerns but he's an adult and can do whatever he pleases. We start moving in tomorrow and soon enough we should be settled.

And of course I'm awoken by a loud kianee blaring Kevin Gates throughout the whole house. I grumbled and slowly got up, I walked towards alicias crib and somehow she was sound asleep. So I went into the bathroom and got myself ready for moving day. I had this simple matching set with teddy bear like texture and these off white shoes that I just tossed on for comfort and my outfit was complete.

I walked into the kitchen and kianee was in slippers with a red and white matching set. She was dancing around the house and rapping to the microwave. Once she realized I was there she turned down her music. "Heyy lay!!" She said ecstatic. "Hii ki, what time are we gonna start moving?" I spoke. "Well the guys are gonna be here in a bit and sailors at the new place cleaning up a bit."
We began to bring boxes outside and get our clothes and stuff together, once the boys pulled up we began to move furnitures me other things. Once Alicia woke up we loaded most of our things up and went to the new place. It took about 3 trips before we'd finished moving everything but we got it done. By now it was almost 4 in the afternoon and landon hadn't shown up or called me yet. So I had ki watch Alicia while I went to his parents.

I'd pulled up and he was out front with a bunch of his things but he was arguing with his parents. I pulled behind his truck and hopped out. As I walked up I heard his father say to him, "If you leave I swear you won't have anything. After everything this girl put you through your going back. WE WERE HERE YOUR ENTIRE LIFE SHE WASNT!!!" He hollered. I slowly stepped next to landon and looked at him, his eyes were filled with tears and he could barely even look at me. Before I could speak a word his mom started talking. "Nothing we have was ever handed to us, we worked for everything and for you to just disrespect us and leave as if we are nothing, it hurts. You are my son and your leaving because we won't allow this girl to come here, BECAUSE she broke your heart and left you without a care in the world." The words his mother spoke hurt him, I could see it as the tears began to flow. I stayed quiet because there was no way I could help the situation. "Mom. Dad, I'm not doing this to hurt y'all. I have a child to raise and I have an amazing girl to fix things with, and if either of you think for one minute you can stop me from fixing things with the person I care about your insane. You guys May not understand it now but as your granddaughter grows and me and lakyn Fix our relationship I hope you'll change your minds. I'm still going to come over and go to college to play pro but don't think that lakyn won't be by my side the entire time." And before his parents could speak a word he turned and started walking to his truck to load up his things. I quietly followed and helped him. His parents stood there in shock and just watched as landon got into his truck and drove away with me following.
