The new girl

Chpt: 28

There he was standing right in front of me. I looked at him and seen the shock rush over his face. "How the hell?" He spoke. Oh how much I'd missed his voice. I turned my head away then back at him. "Yea it's actually me." I spoke with nothing else coming to mind. He was in shock until his gazed led to the baby in my arms.

His eyes got wide and He looked at me then at her. "C-can I come in?" We stood there staring at each other before he was able to react. "Yea." I walked in making my way to the living room. "Your parents home?" I asked. "N-No." He stuttered. I sat down with the baby and looked toward landon waiting for him to speak. He just stood there and stared at the baby. I could tell he was thinking about everything. "Ok I guess I'll start from the night I left." Before I could start I seen anger wash over him. "YOU LEFT. Why'd you come back. Because of a damn baby! That's no excuse!" He yelled. Before I could get a word in he continued. "You could've stayed and worked things out with me but YOU DECIDED TO RUN. You ran from your problems like you always do lakyn! And now your back to do what hurt me again!? Well I don't want that bullsh*t anymore." Before he could say anything else I yelled. "I left because while you were partying my father was bleeding out somewhere in the f*cking desert from a gunshot wound. WHILE YOU were consumed in your friends I was in the bathroom getting a phone call that I'd lost the last piece of family I had."  Landon stayed silent as I continued to speak. "I got the worst phone call I could ever have gotten that night. I left because I couldn't be here anymore, this place just made me think of that I once had. And ALL OF IT was now gone. I couldn't stay so I left. I went home and got what I needed after breaking EVERY SINGLE THING that reminded me of my family." I cried out. "I lost my entire family and all you would do is remind me of that. I needed a break." Landon became frustrated. "You couldn't have came to me! Talked to me, I couldn't helped you we could've worked through it!!" I winced at his words knowing that wasn't true. "If I would've stayed I would've killed myself. I wouldn't have been able to live in this town." He slammed his hand down on the table. "That's bullsh*t!!! Lakyn I loved you, I would've never done that to you." I was getting annoyed by his hollering when he knew nothing of what I went through. "MY WHOLE F*CKING FAMILY IS DEAD. Do not tell me my feelings are bullshit. I left and now I am back. While I was gone I met someone and he was like a breathe of fresh air. He helped me recover and things were great until I found out I was pregnant with your baby." Those few words sent him. He stubbled back and sat down. "How is she my baby? We used protection how do I know it not for that guy." I laughed. "She's yours, the doctor told me when I went I was already a few months. Which means she's yours because I was only with you." He examined the baby and let out a small smile. "How could you leave me. You were mine and we were perfect. Things are so different now and all our  friends and my family won't take it well.  I don't think I can just start up where we left off I-I'm hurt." I got up and went sit next to landon as he rubbed his head trying to take everything in. " I'm sorry for leaving but I had to ensure my stability. But this is your baby too and I want her to have the family I never got to have so I want to try. I want to try and have the family we all need. I'm still in love with you landon, I've never stopped loving you." He looked up and looked into my eyes like the first time we'd met. "I'm still in love with you too."
