It was a normal Friday. It was nice outside and it was sunny, but not too sunny.

Nini exited the school and started to walk back home. Most of her friends were staying after school to work on some project, or they already left. The only one she hasn't seen all day was Ricky, and when she did, he'd always look away.

She stopped momentarily, thinking that she forgot one of her books, and unzipped her bag to check. She sighed as she saw it was there, and zipped it back up.
Someone had then skated by her, but she noticed the familiar brown curls.

"Ricky!"

Ricky turned to see who called him and saw that it was Nini. He stopped and picked up his skateboard and sighed, which Nini saw and got confused as she caught up with him. They both then walked together to the direction of their homes.

"Hey, you." She said as she poked his side, making Ricky cringe a little.

"Hey."

"Something wrong?" Nini asked as Ricky didn't sound too happy. "You're not avoiding me, are you?"

"Um, well.." Ricky said as he scratched the back of his neck, "I have to tell you something."

Nini shrugged, "What's up?"

"Erm, i'm moving to Chicago."

"Oh."

Ricky just nodded his head as it was just silent between the two of them.

"When are you leaving?" Nini asked.

"Sunday morning." Ricky responded. Nini was shocked at how he was going to leave in two days, and didn't tell her until she asked why he was avoiding her.

"Oh." Nini said once again. "Well, in that case, we all definitely need to hang out tomorrow all together one last time before you leave." She said as she smiled softly at Ricky.

"I- I kind of haven't told them too, except for Red." Ricky said awkwardly.

"Ricky! Were you not planning on telling any of us?" Nini asked as her eyes widened.

Ricky's face slightly turned red, "It's just, I don't know how to tell them. I don't want to tell them, because then it's definitely real and i'm actually leaving."

Nini's face softened as she just put an arm around Ricky's wait and hugged him as they walked, "Ricky, we're your best friends. You can't just not tell them."

"You're right." Ricky said quietly. "Also, i'm just not ready for Carlos's dramatic so-not-real cry."

Nini giggled as she and Ricky continued talking to each other.

"So.." Ricky started off. He and Nini were right by security check. "I'm going to miss you, Neens." He said as he faced the shorter girl in front of him and hugged her.

"I'm going to miss you too," Nini replied, hugging him back. "Don't have too much fun without me."

Ricky chuckled, "I won't" He pulled away and began to walk again. "I'll call you when I land!"

Nini smiled softly as she watched him walk away, "Wait, Ricky!"

"Yeah?"

Nini took her phone out and quickly sent something to Ricky's phone. "I made this playlist for you to listen on the plane if you get bored."

Ricky took out his phone as it got Nini's text. "Thanks!"

"You should go now though, don't want to be late for your flight."

He began to turn and walk again, "Yeah, by Nini!"

She waved at him as he got through security.

Ricky boarded onto the plane and was bored already. There were still passengers boarding on, and so he decided to listen to the playlist Nini sent him now.
