No One's POV

Mark and Amy were walking through the woods trying to get to Bran castle when they were suddenly ambushed by a clan of vampires. Their eyes were practically red searching for blood. Mark's eyes widen as he held onto his hatchet and pulled out a stake. This was what Mark trained for. He wanted to kill as much vampires as he possibly could and if that meant he fought in a forest with only Amy then that was what he was going to do.

The vampires attacked first, and because of his fast reflexes, Mark started to fight them off on his own. Each time a vampire attacked he showed his power by cleanly slicing off one of the vampire's heads. One came to his right upon instinct he turned and staked another vampire in the chest. Meanwhile, Amy was watching Mark helpless until she realized that she could do something more than just stand around. Using her vampire speed, she quickly sped to each vampire and knocked them down sometimes decapitating them. As Mark was about to turn around, she made sure to hide behind a tree which gave it the illusion that she was terrified.

As Mark took out the last of the vampires, he made sure to burn each of the decapitated bodies as this would keep them from regenerating and taking out more people. The only thing that he didn't kill was the vampire who murdered his friends. But he walked over to the tree that Amy was hiding behind checking her for any signs of bite marks from the vampires.

"Are you alright?" he asked.

"Yeah, thanks to you," responded Amy as she came around from behind the tree. "You do this on a daily basis?"

"You have no idea," replies Mark. "I barely have time to do my own thing," Amy smiled and as she was about to thank Mark, she looked behind him and noticed her brother sneaking up on Mark.

"Mark! Lookout!" yelled Amy but it was too late as Sam had finally snuck up behind Mark and knock him out with a branch. Mark collapsed on the ground unconscious.

Amy's POV

"Samuel!" I yell in anger as I glared at him. My eyes glowing with anger. "Why did you do that! He saved me!"

"Oh, don't make such a big deal out of this sis," says Sam annoyed "I had the vampires come after him so he could be distracted long enough for me to knock him out,"

"But he was protecting me,"

"And you were using vampire speed to help him," argues Sam "Now, if we're done arguing we're taking him back to the castle now,"

"Fine, but instead of locking him in the dungeons at least lock him in a room,"

"Will you stop whining if I do that?"

"yes, I will, I promise,"

"Good," Without another word between either of us, I helped pick Mark up and take him to Bran castle. I had hopes that Sam was going to live up to his word and lock Mark in a bedroom. I also hoped that I could go and see him from time to time. I don't know why Sam wanted to kidnap Mark, but I know I didn't like how he had done it. Sam was always overly protective of me and I hated it. It was so annoying, and I could never date anyone unless I went to Sam for permission. It didn't make sense! Sam and I were the same age! We were twins and we were both turned into vampires years ago.

Now it had been years since Sam had spoken to another human being that wasn't a killer. I wanted to get out of this castle and Mark was going to be the only escape I ever had. We finally arrived at Bran Castle which didn't take long, I had brought Mark to one of the rooms and laid him on the bed. After that, I walked to the door and looked at him. He was so peaceful when he was unconscious, but I knew I was starting to fall for him. It was the way he acted and how he fought off those vampires that caught my attention the most. That, and how cute he was in his outfit. Maybe this might be my chance to fall in love with someone and escape this hell hole.
