Mark, Amy and Sam went to the second floor where they would step out onto the balcony that overlooked the courtyard. As Mark stepped forward, so did Amy and Sam; it was time to become a leader and Mark was ready. He knew that most vampires were going to die, but that didn't change the fact that the slayers were also going to lose many soldiers. Mark was going to go after Colby it was time for this to end and the only way, he could do that was to face Colby head on. As far as Colby knew, Mark was dead and he was leaving it that way for a surprise. Colby should know now that Mark was never going to back down, especially not from a fight even if his girlfriend was in danger. It was very dirty for Colby to do what he did to him and the fact that he caused the death of his friends made what he did even worse. Slayers were supposed to protect and defend humanity, not kill every vampire in site even if they didn't drink human blood.
The vampires all cheered as one when they saw him. He was going to be their salvation, and Amy was going to be his wife; if they lived through this, he was going to Marry Amy and they would become the king and queen together. Sam was going to rule by his side at least that what he had planned. He hoped that after this battle, all slayers and vampires would work together as one and try to live in peace and harmony.
"Attention," says Mark "All vampires, today is the day that we defeat the slayer army!" the crowd cheered. "I need you to know that I will always be by your side in this battle," I continued. "I would also like to say that I am personally glad that I saw the light of day, my girlfriend Amy," he said as he wrapped his arm around her and gave her a kiss then looked at the crowd of vampires. "Has shown that I can make a difference in not just human lives but also vampires lives. She has healed me from my pain and suffering, and opened my heart to love," another cheer from the crowd.
"The slayer army are posted all around this section of Transylvania, the army is split into four groups of one hundred, we out number the slayers four to one, especially in our powers and abilities, the main battle will be here at the castle," he said "In which Colby will be leading that army, I would like to let you know that if he comes through these gates, leave him to me; I have some unfinished business to deal with," he continued. "Are we ready!"
"Yeah!"
"Then let's get to battle each of you group off in four groups of 100 the fourth group will stay here and they will help me defend the castle, the others remember what we taught you, search for a weakness," continued Mark. "You are dismissed!"
Mark watched as the groups split off and three go to the different parts of the forest where the slayers were camping while the last one stayed by the castle knowing that Colby would come after him first, Mark was going to be ready.
Colby's POV
My army and I had arrived in Transylvania overnight, we were all split into groups where we would be able to attack the enemy on multiple sides. As far as I knew none of the vampires were going to expect this. I was going to lead the army to the main castle where I would fight Sam and hopefully win. I had full confidence, we knew all of the enemies weaknesses and we knew that it was going to be easy enough to fight against. They would be dropping like flies. In my tent I went over diagrams of maps anything that could possibly show their line of defense. I couldn't believe that these vampires still wanted to fight. Of course, what they didn't expect was that I had a secret spy that pretended to be a vampire to gather information about the enemy.
Right about now was the time for him to show up. I heard footsteps hitting the dirt as our spy arrived at my tent. Looking up from what I was doing I saw him enter, he was out of breath but I could tell he had something to tell me.
"Eriq," I said. "What news have you brought?"
"The enemy outnumbers us and Mark is still alive,"
"What?!" I say as I look at Eriq, Mark was alive and I didn't know how he survived that gun shot. No one could have, this man just didn't go down without a fight; this time he wasn't going to escape death. "How did he survive? I shot him and mortally wounded him, there's no way he could have survived that gun," Then realization struck me, he wouldn't have survived unless he was turned into a vampire and Dark had somehow healed him.
"I do believe that he was turned into a vampire,"
"Great!" I said annoyed "Just great! There's no way for me to defeat this guy now unless I stake him through the heart and burn his corps,"
"There's more,"
"What's more than that?"
"He's leading the enemy and Bob is with him,"
"I can't believe this is happening!" I looked at Eriq. "Send Ethan, Sarah and Nathan in here,"
Eriq nodded his head as he left the tent to go hunt down Ethan, Sarah and Nathan. Not but a few moments later, the three generals entered my tent armed for battle. Taking a deep breath, I turned toward them and spoke out loud.
"I've received word that Mark has indeed survived and he's leading the battle himself,"
"I thought you killed him!" exclaims Sarah in shock.
"I thought so too, but I found out that he awoke as a vampire," I said, "Which doesn't necessarily matter because now he has the same weaknesses as the other vampires," I continued. "Of course, Eriq has also told me that Dark had merged with Mark and became one so now Mark has the abilities of one of the eldest vampires in Transylvania,"
"What do you propose we do sir?"
"Ready the armies, we're going to fight and when we get close to the castle, leave Mark to me,"
"What about Sam?" asks Eriq.
"You all can deal with Sam, I'm going after Mark we have some unfinished business to attend to,"
"We're with you all the way sir!"
"Good, you are dismissed! We march in 14 minutes!"
"Yes sir!" they all said at the same time and left my tent. If Mark wanted to play cat and mouse, then that's what he was going to get, I will make sure that I end his life once and for all.
