Colby's POV

I was going through my paperwork back in headquarters when I heard a knock on my office door. Looking up from the paper I looked toward the door and saw Sarah and Ethan enter. They must have finished their job. Which was good, at least we didn't have to deal with Mark, but he should have known this was going to happen considering he was befriending Sam and Amy. Dark was one of the vampires, he believes that if he joined my side, he would be spared from the destruction of all vampires. Well, he's mistaken, as soon as I get the right chance, I will kill him. There will be no vampires left alive, this was what I was made to do; I wanted my revenge on all the vampires and this was the only way I could do it.

"Is the job done?" I ask as I look at the two slayers before me. They looked at each other with nervousness, however, they also looked very worn out and exhausted. "Why do you two looks like you've been in a fight?"

"Because we kind of were," says Ethan.

"What happened during the mission? Did you find Mark?"

"We did but," responds Sarah.

"Did you kill him?"

"Not exactly...." I hit my desk in anger as I heard them say those words. How could they have failed their mission?! They were the best slayers aside from Mark who would do something. I breathed in a deep breath and let it out, then rubbed my forehead. This was going to be annoying as I told these two to find and kill Mark, but it looks like Mark pulverized them. Granted he had been with the organization for seven years but the fact that he met and possibly fell in love with a vampire princess was even worse. He had betrayed not only my trust but everyone else's in the organization. This was going to be a pain in the butt as I was now thinking about ways to kill Mark himself.

"What do you mean? Not exactly?" I asked. "Didn't you do the job I sent you to Transylvania for?"

"Look we tried luring him into a trap so we could kill him, but what happened was he escaped and started to run," Ethan continued "When we went after him, we finally caught him and there we thought we caught him,"

"We were wrong, we attacked him and did the best we possibly could do to mortally wound him to a point where he became weak from blood loss, somehow he kept fighting," says Sarah. "Not to mention he practically beat us,"

"Yeah, and if we told him why we were there and what you were planning then he would let us go freely,"

"Wait..." I say, "before we continue, what did you just say?"

"We told Mark what you were planning?"

"You dumbasses! How could you possibly tell Mark what I was doing! Now he's probably on high alert, I have to eliminate him before we go to war!"

"But sir, we've tried everything!"

"You have tried everything, I haven't," I say as I reach down and pull open one of the drawers of my desk. Reaching in, I pull out a gun and load it. "We've trained long and hard for years to end this vampiric war, and within these next few months we will have defeated every single vampire around,"

"What's with the gun?"

"This is how I will kill Mark, first I need to lure him to a trap by using Amy as bait, then when it looks like she's getting ready to die, I will shoot Mark and he will most certainly collapse,"

"How are you going to do that?"

"Oh, you'll see, now I'm giving the two of you one more chance but this time I want you to go train because if it comes down to the battle, I want my best slayers on the front lines, your dismissed!"
