No One's POV
As noon got closer, Mark had to make sure that he had everything that he needed in case he was jumped at the garden. After searching for the main place that Sam had hidden his weapons, he finally came across his black bag of vampire slayer weapons. Sighing with relief, Mark made his way back to the room and started to pack only what was necessary. He wasn't going to let anything, or anyone kill him.
Slayers had to always be prepared in case something comes up that would cause him to lose his life. After packing his bag what he needed, he left the castle and made his way to the garden. Mark wasn't scared, if this thing that killed his friends was out there then he was finally going to put an end to it once and for all. What Mark hadn't realized was that this was all part of Dark's plan. Once Mark was out of the way he was going to sneak into the castle and wear everything that Mark wore and how he had acted. Dark quietly followed behind making sure to stay within the shadows. This was going to be intense if Mark decided to fight back.
After a while of walking in the forest, Mark finally came across a garden. The garden was in full bloom, the only thing Mark did not expect was the fact that the garden was a full-grown maze. He believed that whoever sent the message was probably in the very center of the maze. Which meant that Mark had to find his way through. As he approached the maze, he started to feel like he was being watched. Stopping in his tracks, Mark looked around at his surroundings hoping that someone or something didn't sneak up behind him.
"Hello?" says Mark as he pulls out his dagger, ready to fight. When no one came forth he stepped forward. However, he made sure to have his weapon out in case he needed it. Which was important since Sarah and Ethan were somewhere in the Maze ready to attack Mark. About halfway through the walk, Sarah noticed that Mark was getting closer to Ethan's hidden location. Sarah knew that there was going to be a battle. The girl was also terrified because Mark had been training with the organization since he was 23 years old. Now that he was 30, he knew everything about being a slayer and hunting for the prey. She continued to follow Mark, making sure that she stayed hidden.
"I know that someone is out here," called Mark. "If you know something about the death of my friends, come out from hiding now!"
"That's all you have to say to your fellow slayers?" says Ethan as he slowly steps out from his hiding spot. "Gees, I feel hurt, don't you feel hurt too Sarah?"
"Of course, I do!" responds Sarah as she steps out from her hiding place as well.
"What are you two doing here?" questioned Mark. "I was told to come alone,"
"And that you were," says Ethan who was standing in front of Mark trying to distract him long enough so Sarah could knock him out with the tranquilizer needle.
"Look, we were given a mission, one that you had failed to remember,"
"I did not forget the mission," defended Mark. "I just got sidetracked,"
"Well sidetrack this," says Sarah as she quickly injected the needle into the back of Mark's neck, she then pulled it out causing Mark to wince and hold the back of his neck. "Sleep well Mark,"
Mark was doing his best to stay awake, but he couldn't as his legs had collapsed under him as Mark tried his best to get up, though the serum was too strong, fore, Mark had fallen unconscious. Dark was watching and when he saw that Mark had fallen unconscious, he immediately stepped forward.
"Thank you, but now we must act, I need you two to dress Mark in my clothes and I will get dressed in his,"
"Yes sir!" agreed the two slayers. They started changing Mark and Dark's clothes making sure that Mark wore Dark's clothes and Dark wore Mark's clothes. He had to act the part also as this was going to be important to trick Amy into thinking that he had always been in the castle. After they changed the clothes, Sarah and Ethan tied Mark and brought him to the center of the maze.
