the next morning, changbin walked into the university looking like a zombie. not gonna lie, the most of his night was just him constantly running the younger's words inside his mind; no matter how hard he tried and forget it, it would always come back to him seconds later.
since then, the whole entire time he had been wondering over and over again what he had meant by that. was he gonna stalk him to school or something? he didn't know but thanks to the younger, he seemed to have lost thoughts in what was going around him.
"good morning, changbin hyung!"
'is he gonna visit my school?'
"changbin hyung?"
'what does he mean by that?'
"uhh, hyung???"
'it's impossible though, we go to different schools....'
"hyung!"
changbin immediately snapped back to reality the moment he heard a familiar voice yell his name. he swiftly turned his head at the sudden action and looked beside him to see an annoyed felix, his arms wrapped around his neck.
"what...?" he finally responded, glancing around his surroundings to see that he was currently in the university premise. 'was i daydreaming?'
"geez, took you long. i called for you so many times but you never answered, i had to shout so loud that i think everyone's looking at us crazily." he groaned and sighed, looking back to the front to avoid the judgemental stares.
the other looked around and instantly noticed, looking back to the front also avoiding the stares being sent to the both of them. "sorry about that..."
"what's on your mind?" felix asked while still facing the view before him. changbin briefly looked at his best friend before smiling.
"nothing really much, just a jisung problem." the moment he heard the word 'jisung' come out of his mouth, he immediately stopped in track causing changbin to stop to look at him in confusion. "what's wrong?"
felix didn't speak for a moment when he finally opened his mouth in shock. "dude, what happened??" he asked as they entered the main building - lessons were almost starting.
the two boys walked through the school corridor on the way to their class, changbin explaining everything from the start until they were finally in their first lesson.
"he's probably playing with you." the purple haired male said in conclusion, taking a seat to wait for the lesson to start. changbin groaned in frustration and set his head on the desk in front of him, they were seated at the very back of the room.
"i don't know... he seemed pretty excited when he said it." he said and sighed, leaning back against the chair. he was unsure about the whole meaning behind this, he just didn't know what to do now. let's just say he was pretty much baffled about everything.
"hmm, just don't worry about it too much. he's just probably doing all this to get in your head, it's people like him especially. nothing's gonna happen." felix reassured, rubbing changbin's shoulders to comfort him.
as soon as the bell rang indicating it was class, changbin finally sat up at the sight of the teacher entering and opened his book to start the lesson. "i hope so." he lastly muttered before the class officially started.
—
"just don't worry about it, trust me." felix said once again, they had just finished classes and were now leaving the main building.
"okay, if you say so." changbin sighed, his eyes still betraying him. he didn't know why but his eyes couldn't stop looking around the university gates to check if he would be there. no matter what, his eyes would always unconsciously be on a look out.
'what's wrong with me? it's not like i'm hoping to see him am i?' he thought in his head.
but then, felix noticed seconds later and sighed even deeper. he turned to look at the other and patted his back couples of time. "i'm telling you, just drop it."
the other rotated his head to face the younger and smiled. "okay."
"well, i'm going now. don't you have a part time job to go to right now?" he asked which caused changbin to suddenly remember about it.
"oh, yeah. i'll see you tomorrow then." changbin said, waving his hand in the air.
"alright man, just remember to drop it also don't forget to text me!" the other nodded at his friend's words before watching as he walked away.
"time to go to work, great..." he muttered, walking off to his job.
the moment he entered the cafe, he was then suddenly attacked by a young, black haired boy who immediately ran towards him from the counter. "changbin hyung!! i can't wait to work with you today!" he excitedly exclaimed, tightening the hug he was giving the male.
"h-hyunjin, i can't breathe..." changbin gasped, struggling to get out of the boy's grip. when he had finally let go, the other was now catching his breath.
"sorry hyung but let's work hard!" he enthusiastically declared, smiling so hard at the older before him.
"yeah, let's do that." changbin finally said, smiling back at him.
as the two male worked, they didn't realise it had already been so late until hyunjin finally looked at the clock in front of him.
"changbin hyung, our shift's nearly over." he said, once again smiling to him.
the other also looked at the clock to see that it was nearly 7pm and smiled back. "yeah, you've worked really hard."
"you too!" hyunjin stated, eyes glittering.
that was until they both heard the bell signalling them that someone had entered. changbin immediately looked at hyunjin and smiled. "i'll take this one."
"okay hyung." the younger said, allowing changbin to take care of the last order.
changbin went over to the counter to take the order when he took a glance at the customer, his eyes instead, widening at the thoughts of seeing him appear unexpectedly at this hour.
the dark haired male, on the other hand, smirked at the reaction and leaned his elbow against the counter, resting his head as he stared right hard into changbin's eyes.
"hello changbin hyung."
