Chapter 35: Living in a movie Scene

Michael's POV

I continued to have Kara sleeping beside me and our soon to be named fur baby laying with us. I watched TV for a couple hours because I was wide awake. I can't believe I was asleep for 3 whole days! That might be the best sleep I've ever gotten to be completely honest! I stroked Kara's hair which was satisfying, and hypnotizing enough to make me fall asleep for a few short hours.

I woke up and stretched but realized that Kara wasn't beside me which made me open my eyes in confusion. I saw that it was lighter in here but it was only because the sun was finally up. I saw the puppy laying where Kara was beside me. I petted him and he yawned as he woke up which caused me to smile with amusement. I heard a creak and I saw Kara come back in the room, closing the door behind her.

"Oh, good morning Mikey!" She smiles at me when she turned around after closing the door quietly.

"Good Morning," I reply as I yawned. "where did you go?" I ask curiously.

"Oh, I just went to tell a doctor that you were awake." She tells me as she came back over to the bed and sat down on the edge of the bed. I smiled at her with admiration as I could finally see her face in the light, I haven't seen her face very clearly for 5 months and I could now. I brought my hand to her cheek, I looked into her eyes and she stared right back into mine. She leaned towards me and her lips met mine. In that moment everything around us felt like it was blurry, like it was just us. We released slowly. Everything in her eyes was just my... it's almost not describable... I don't have words. No one could understand what was going on in my heart and mind in that moment... not even myself. 

We were then interrupted by a knock on the door and I quietly pouted as I didn't want our moment to end. Kara got up from the bed and I watched her walk to the door. She opened it and I saw the guys and the girls with them.

"Hey Kara! Is-" Ashton said and trailed off when he saw me. "MICHAEL GORDON FUCKING CLIFFORD!!!! YOU'RE AWAKE!!!" He yelled and ran into the room and so did everyone else which made the puppy jump in fear and tried jumping off the bed which was too high for a small tiny puppy like himself but Kara saved him and put him back in his crate, thank god. They all hugged me and I was so happy to see all of them! I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. 

"I swear to god Mike, we all thought you were gonna die." Calum spoke and I noticed that he was almost in tears which hurt me. We've been best friends for as long as I could remember and I could basically feel his pain at this point. They all have their reasons for why they are important to me. I'm so happy to have all these unique friends with me, and family of course.

"I'm okay Cal, I just passed out from exhaustion and not really taking care of myself." I tell him, "I wasn't hit by truck." I laugh nervously. 

"Yeah, but the doctor was really concerned about you also." Luke spoke with fear and emotion in his voice. I sighed.

"I'm sorry for worrying and frightening you guys, I just... thought the tour would go by a lot faster if I focused on just the tour and making the fans happy." I say honestly.

"Yeah but, Mikey... you weren't taking care of yourself out there." Ella says. I knew she was sad because she has this certain look on her face like she'll burst into tears or rage at any second.

"Michael, why didn't you talk to me? You know I've been there." Ashton started. "I noticed something was up because you stayed up almost all night practicing on your acoustic guitar... and every time we asked what you wanted to eat you would say, 'Oh, I already ate something.'" Ashton tried mimicking me which I have to say... I don't think I sound like that.

"Guys!" Kara snapped. "He just woke up! Don't make him feel worse about the situation than he already does!" She spoke. I quietly thanked her and I saw her glance at me with a smile. Ashton sighed and looked down on his feet for a few seconds before looking back up at me.

'She's right... I'm sorry Mike. I just... kinda over reacted because you're the reason I am in this band, we both made a promise to each other back in high school that we can't self harm anymore." Ashton says sadly. I smiled at him. I'm so happy to have these guys as my best friends.

"It's okay Ash, I understand." I say. After hearing Ashton bring up that promise we made back in high school, I started to think of what I said to Kara. She didn't start self harming did she? I tried to push the thought away but it kept coming back into my head. I'll have to ask her later. I was then interrupted by the door to the room open and the doctor walked in.

"You guys must be the family of Mr. Clifford here right?" The doctor asked. I saw Ella nod.

"I'm actually the only one here blood related to him but... we all are pretty much family." Ella says with a smile The doctor shook her hand. The doctor then looked through all of the paper he had on the clipboard in his hand.

"Okay, so... Mr. Clifford, how are you feeling today?" He asked as he looked at all the machines that were around me and I saw him write a couple things down.

"I feel okay right now." I say honestly.

"Good, good, um... any pain, drowsiness, anything like that?" He asked me.

"Um... I'm kinda hungry." I say honestly and everyone laughed. 

"Well, you haven't been taking care of yourself for a while and you've been out for at least 3 days." The doctor laughed lightly as he wrote down on his clipboard. I saw Kara holding her hand together, with a look of nervousness on her face. Like she was anxious."Okay... so, so far you've been showing progress so I think you might be able to leave later today." He told us. I saw Calum and Luke high five each other and I smiled at them. "That is of course, you agree to start eating and sleeping again." He looked at me.

"Oh, he does that daily when we're at home." Ella laughs and so did everyone else. The doctor nodded.

"Gee thanks El." I laugh.

"Just pointing out the obvious, it's in your nature to do stuff like that." She laughs and I rolled my eyes at her with a smile on my face. I looked back at her and she stuck her tongue out at me like we used to when we were kids but apparently we still are. 

"Okay, I'll go do a couple things and I'll be right back in about 10 minutes." The doctor spoke as he walked out of the room and closed the door behind him. I looked at Calum and I saw him looking at the crate on the couch beside Kara. I know Calum absolutely loves dog, well actually any animal I'm pretty sure. 

"What's in the crate?" Calum asked. Kara then got up off the couch and opened the crate. She brought the puppy out of the crate and showed Calum and he, Luke, and Ashton about freaked out. The girls laughed out of amusement. "Can I hold?" Calum asked. Kara put the tiny puppy in his arms and came over to me and sat on the edge of the bed beside me. 

"Can we look at the names the fans suggested?" She asks. I then grabbed my phone and went to my twitter and saw at least 1000+ comments. Well we don't have anything better to do. Kara layed beside me, having her head on my chest and i let her look at my phone too. I started scrolling through the suggested names but there wasn't much that would fit this hyper puppy.

"Does he have a name?" Luke asks.

"Currently looking through the names the fans suggested." Kara replies, not taking her eyes off the screen. After a few minutes Kara stopped me. "Wait, wait, wait, what about that name?" She asked as she pointed to one of the names that read: Southy.

"That's a really cool name." I smile. I looked at Kara and she looked at me. "I think we found a name for our puppers." I whisper and she smiles, sticking her tongue out a little bit in the process. 

"Southy it is." She replies and connected our lips in a soft gentle kiss.
