Chapter 61: Vivid

Ashton's POV

I kissed Cassie softly and we released slowly. I looked in her eyes, I could still see all the memories of us playing in her head. I felt everything around us disappear when I look in her eyes.

"You're so beautiful." I whisper breathless. I saw a smile grow on her lips. I stand up off the grass and held out both of my hands for Cassie. She took both of my hands and I helped her stand up. I intertwined our fingers and we started walking back to the bus. "I was wondering..." I start as I nervously ran my fingers through my hair. I took a deep breath. "Do you... Wanna go out tonight?" I ask her, feeling myself blush.

 "Of course, is something wrong?" Cassie replies.

 "No, we just... Haven't been by ourselves for a while." I tell her honestly. She sighs and nods.

 "I'm sorry, I just have to go to work and when I get off you're usually at the studio." Cassie says as she looked down. I knew she felt guilty.

 "It's not your fault, don't think that. It's just that we're both growing up and we both have our hands full." I tell her. She then leaned onto me, setting her head on my shoulder.

 "I love how understanding you are." Cassie replies causing me to smile.

Later in the evening, the sun was starting to set. Making the sky orange, fading into purple, fading into the dark blue of the night sky. I fixed my hair and put on my gray shirt sleeve shirt and put my black leather jacket over it. I glanced out the window of the bus as I put on my colonge. Europe is so beautiful at night. I heard the girls squealing in the back room and I laugh. I sat on the couch next to Luke.

 "You smell good. What's the occasion?" Luke say as he took his eyes off his phone.

 "Going out with Cassie." I reply and find myself giggling out of nervousness.

 "Uh oh Ash is doing his signature laugh, what's going on?" Michael says as he jumped off his bunk and came into the room.

 "Ash is going on a hot date." Luke tells him and he started raising his eyebrows up and down. I felt myself blush profusely.

 "Shut up." I reply. I heard a door open, I turned and saw Cassie. She was wearing a light gray sweater that went down to her thighs and had black high heel boots that came up to her knee. She has her long dark hair curled and dark eye shadow that made her eyes pop. I hear her laugh shyly and realized that I was checking her out. I stood up and made my way over to her. I tucked a stray piece of her hair behind her ear. She blushes and smiles at me. "Ready?" I ask.

"Whenever you are. " She replies. 

"We'll be back later." I say as I opened the door of the bus and Cassie steps out.

"Use protection Ash!" I hear Kara yell when I step outside after Cassie. I roll my eyes and laugh at her. I looked at Cassie and felt my heart beat loud. Cassie looks stunning with the sunset sky shining on her dark hair. Especially the lighting it made on her eyes. I felt like I was just running because I was breathless. 

"Where are we going?" Her voice snapped me back into reality.

"I thought we could just walk around." I tell her. " I found this really nice place to go at night. " 

"Lead the way." She smiles. I intertwined our fingers and we started walking. The sound of her heals on the concrete was a perfect rhythm with my heart beating loudly. Every date we go on feels like the first one we ever had. And every kiss feels like the first. My heart was beating so loud, I wondered if she could hear it. 

"Um... Cassie? " I  start.

"Yes Ash?" She gives me a worried look.

" Would you ever want to... I don't know... Settle down? Have kids? " I ask nervous.

"Of course I would want to do that... But, I think we should wait." She replies .

"You're right, I'm an idiot." I sigh. " We're too young, I just... Well I... Cassie I love you so much and I want a forever with you." I say honestly. "I was just... Thinking about our future. " I tell her. She stopped us and we face each other. She placed her hand on my cheek and I smile as I was relieved to feel her.

"I love you too... But, it's not like I'm going to run away. I'm right here, like I have when we were in high school. We'll talk about it when we get there." She reaches up and fixes my hair a little. "When we're both mature enough." She smiles. I leaned down a little and met our lips in a slow, passionate kiss...
