Lilly and I ran in our wolf forms for about five miles until we were about a hundred meters from the human town. We had mutually agreed to just suck it up and walk the rest of the way.

Humans were not allowed to know about werewolves. It was the mutual and unchanging rule between all supernaturals that humans were not allowed to know of our existence. Who knows what experiments they would perform on us? Who knows what military machines they would use us as?

I shifted back and let out a small whimper of pain. I stared at the dirt ground as I laid on it for a few minutes. Tears pricked at my eyes as the pain in my leg throbbed. I didn't want to move. I felt so weak suddenly.

I had lost so much blood.

I used a nearby tree to help pick myself up, letting the tears fall.

Geez, it hurt so much.

Gabriel. I want Gabriel.

I wanted him to tend to my leg like he did my hand when it was hurt. I wanted him to hold me.

My sweaty clothes stuck my skin unpleasantly and looked at my hand where my wedding ring was.

It still shimmered against my dirt covered hand.

I hoped he wasn't going to the rogue camp. Because that meant Lilly and I had escaped for nothing and he and Alpha Donnelly were putting themselves in danger.

Instinctively my hand went up to my neck and I let out a sigh of relief when I still felt the necklace that had Gabriel's name on it. I missed him.

I wiped my tears away and flinched when I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Are you ready?" Lilly asked.

I looked at her and nodded.

We slowly made our way towards the town. I was getting more light headed by the minute and the fact that the sun was gone did not help. The only light source was the moon.
