When I brought Lilly back, she and Alpha Donnelly had a little talk, and then the wedding resumed normally. Neither he or Gabriel seemed particularly happy with me.
The ceremony seemed even longer than mine, though the decor was much grander because it was an alpha and Luna wedding. I was super tense the whole time and Gabriel's rock hard grip on my thigh didn't help my nerves. Normally when he did that, it was a soothing gesture, but this time, it only frightened me and I wanted nothing more than to get away.
Not only had I disobeyed my mate, the beta of the pack, I had disobeyed the alpha. Alpha Donnelly had told me to bring back Lilliana as soon as possible, but I had done the exact opposite.
I had literally waited an hour to bring Lilly back and if looks could kill, Alpha Donnelly's cold glare would have sent me six feet under. But then he was distracted by his bride, who gave him a sorry smile and he forgot about me.

Now I was sitting in the reception, where the music was blasting and werewolves were dancing on the dance floor. It was dark in there and everyone was partying except for Alpha Donnelly and Gabriel. Gabriel kept glancing at me and Alpha Donnelly kept sending me cold stares.
I looked down and picked at the chicken on my plate. My other hand went around my bruised neck and winced at the touch. Alpha Donnelly was actually going to kill me and I don't think Gabriel was going to do anything to stop him.
At least I won't die a virgin.
A cloud of white in peripheral brought me out me out of my gloomy thoughts. I looked up at Lilly and she smiled at me.
"I talked to Kaden. He won't punish you.I made him realize that you were just helping me,"
My eyes widened and I threw my arms arms around her.
"He won't hurt you anymore in general. I gave him quite an earful."
