Chapter 6

Timeskip five years later
Yawning sleepily I watched as Ashton and his mate Sophia take care of there ten month old hatchlings. Already both of them were able to fly for short periods of time enough to partake in the moon dance. Dante the young male hatchling tried to pounce on my tail as I smirked before tripping him with my tail. Ashton chuckled,"Really bro." Shrugging,"Yep why not also speaking of which have you thought of a name for the new one." I nodded my head looking at the egg as Ashton replied,"We have Yes." I smirked,"You gonna leave your best friend in the dark. Come on tell me." He sighed,"Nope but you will be the first one to know what his or her name is." I growled as I lashed tail,"Well I am going to sleep in the sun." He chuckled," You still have to find your breath attack anyways." I scowled at him,"It's not my fault that your breath attacks manifested faster than mine did. Plus I always feel stronger in the sunlight or moonlight." He chuckled,"So what are you a plant now." I snarled,"That's it for you." I lunged at him, pinning him down as Sophia spoke,"What have I told you Ashton about ticking him off. By the way you have my permission to do whatever." Grinning I spoke,"Thanks Sophia and also a matriarchy." She chuckled,"No problem I have to take care of these two anyways." I heard Mia the female speak,"We can be by ourselves momma." I looked at the little one,"No you can't well if you excuse me but your father is coming with me to be my pillow." Biting my friends tail I took off with him screaming,"I can fly on my own!" I swiftly flew us to my favorite sun spot as I used him as a pillow,"If you try to move Ashton your dead." He whimpered,"Fine." Closing my eyes I drifted to sleep.

       I felt a presence near us as I spoke,"Heads up one of the Kenuins is here and he is using the invisible cloaking devise he has to get close to us."  I sniffed the air as I hissed immediately we bolted. I grumbled as we flew off. I watched as the newer aliens called Kenuins walking in the park. The Kenuins came here roughly several months ago completely wiping out the Red and Black aliens and from what I understand  the Kenuins are very skilled fighters, love nature, and live for over a thousand years. Surprisingly all of us changed can understand there language. They also have control over several galaxies due to there actual military might. No other race wants to fight them. The Kenuins are very determined to get close to use to study us but sadly for them we can see through there cloaking device. Perching in a tree branch I looked at the sun coming down as I stretched my wings taking off to meet at the designated moon dance area.

    I smiled as I flew over to the area as the moon appeared we all jumped into the sky taking flight as the moon dance began with each individual that had a breath released it. Immediately afterwards we all jumped in the air diving and spinning. While we were finishing the dance I noticed a crowd of Kenuins watching us I felt everyone's nervousness as we disappeared. Adrian growled,"Why are they so intrigued by us?" I sent my mental shrug down the link,"No idea. Also has anyone seen Emily lately." Dominic spoke,"Yes I saw her during the dance tonight then she left." I growled,"I will go find her." Dominic, Adrian, and Hunter all wanted to come with.  I growled,"Meet me at the pond." I jumped up from my perch as I flew off towards the large lake in the middle of the park. I waited for the others to arrive as they quickly appeared. They landed next to me as I spoke,"Alright let's go. We each go in a separate direction and if you see anything mind link whoever is closest and there will be two for each so say I find something I would call Hunter and Adrian. If Hunter needed us it would be me and Adrian. So on and so forth.

I turned around and flew to the north as I started to smell blood as I followed the scent seeing a strange creature that had pinned down Emily. I roared in the mindlink,"Hunter Adrian converge on me you to Dominic!" They all cut the link as they all moved quickly on me. I growled,"Emily you Alright." I heard her speak," I am fine just a small cut before this thing pinned me down."  The creature turned on us as it growled seeing me and for some reason I had a urge to kill this thing. Releasing a roar I shot at the thing as I noticed it's tail muscles contracting with increased blood flow. Ducking I dodged the tail swing as I sharpened my talons before slashing the side before I dodged a claw swipe. As I banked left hard before flying under the creature as I flicked my tail up cutting its stomach. The thing reared up as it releases Emily. Taking this chance Emily bolted into the tree as it whipped its tail as I hardened my wing bone to increase my speed when diving. I smashed my wing into the things face as it roared in pain and fury before managing to grab my wing and flew me in the air spinning. I hissed,'His thing has the advantage with brute strength I am just lucky if I didn't have this ability I would be dead.' I shuddered at the thought as I dove down aiming for the neck as I punctured the carotid artery. The thing stumbled as I felt heat build up in my throat as I blasted the thing with flames. The flames being intense enough to literally turn it to a smoking corpse in a few minutes. I watched as it rolled on the ground trying to put the flames out as I remembered something from the notes. That this was hellfire. I turned around panting as Dominic spoke,"What was that thing and it's massive to." I snorted,"Everything is massive to us." I turned around seeing lights as I growled,"Let's get out of here so they don't think we are a threat to them or their children." We immediately disappeared as Emily spoke,"Thank you I tried to mind link you guys but for some reason it just made me weak and blocked my mind messages." I thought for a minute,"So it weakens you guys but pisses me off completely. Well that is certainly... interesting also I will stay and watch. Anyone want to join me." Adrian replied,"Sure why not I have nothing better to do." I smirked,"Yes you do go be with your date." He glared at me,"How do you know?" I smirked,"Please it's obvious now go. I will stay I am the only that can blend in here." They glared at me as they left.

I laid down on the tree I was in as they were talking I connected to the General mindlink,"Alright just some news. The thing I killed is called a Dradvians and according to the Kenuins they are very dangerous and there are several ranks. This one is a soldier or the lowest of the ranks. The other ranks are worker, noble, upper noble, vanguard, Hunter and not our Hunter. And the queen or princess of the hive. Or colony." Everyone processed the new information.
