Chapter 13

Over the past few months the kenuins have placed muzzles on us like I predicted and wing clamps as well. The kenuins have been planning from whenever I hear them in the park that they planning to use a growth serum on us to cause us to be bigger and enslave us at a black market or something. I hope that won't happen, but what I have been hearing is that they have been whipping some of us and for some reason they haven't whipped me. They have been taking us into a room or something experimenting on us or so what I have been hearing from the others. I was using my eyes as they could now see the energy flow of nature or to be more exact the xylem and Phloem of the plants. The kenuins have realized that I was the hardest one for them to study as I have yet to reach my strongest energy current. What they have been wanting to measure is my Hellfire temperature. Last time they checked it was roughly seven thousand five hundred degrees Celsius or thirteen thousand five hundred thirty-two degrees Fahrenheit. Also now that we were trapped they have decided to have blood samples and other vet procedures. Like checking our eyes, ears, teeth, and intelligence. I quickly thought of something as I then mind linked Ashton,"Bro have you been taken in yet." I heard him reply,"Yes why?" I growled," Do you have any crucial information about what they plan to do to us." Silence for a few minutes reigned as he spoke," They seemed kinda nervous and kept saying they should finish this quickly." I thought quietly for a moment," Do you think the Kenuins superiors are coming..." I heard his excitement through our link,"Now that you mentioned they did say something about their superiors coming and they wanted to enslave us to them or something." I growled," Did they say when!?" Ashton thought for a few minutes," Roughly a week from now." I growled," Damn it it wouldn't even take a day for us to be enslaved. It could be off world or it could still be here." I slashed my tail on the tree I was curled up on as I ended up cutting deep in the tree almost severing it. I looked at the sun as I growled,"Oh well it's time for feeding. Oh joy they are going to try to hand feed me." Ashton chuckled,"Have fun."

      I climbed farther up the tree as two kenuins looked for me in the tree as the chain was long enough to touch the ground when it was not being pulled. Currently I was hiding in a leafy spot where I could curl up. The muzzle popped off as I hissed. They looked at me as my throat glowed softly. I released the flames as they yelled trying to get away as the flames charred the ground as I looked at the two care takers. One of them tried to get closer as I turned on him already with flames shooting out of my mouth incinerating the arm of one of the kenuin. They both ran off as I heard a shuttle come towards my location as I held the flames in releasin* it to be a straight narrow flame making the shuttle explode. I turned my attention on my chains and wing clamps as I heard a voice in my head,"Bro are you alright I heard explosions coming from your location." I snorted,"It's just me now shut up." I blasted my wing clamp as they melted. I smirked,'So they didn't think I would ever blast myself with my flames welp they are dummer than I thought.' I stretched my wing muscles as I flew into the leaves due to the chain still attached to me. I heard footsteps as a whole squad of Kenuins approached as they looked up in the trees noticing my wing clamps had become a mound of boiling slag heap.

I built up flames as an alarm blared as they ran off as one yelled," Were under attack all soldiers go to your positions." I tensed as I contacted the general link,"Who's attacking I don't know as I am in the center of the forest." Sophia responded,"Just some large space ships coming in from the southwest. The ships are firing large explosive laser blasts completely decimating the Kenuins fleet." I growled,"Anything else." Adrian responded,"The kenuins have formed ranks at the front of our and I hate this word enclosure. Also several kenuins have moved into here. They have small lots of small carrying cages." Several Kenuins came towards my tree with one of them holding a sniper as he smirked and yelled,"Found him." I growled,'Shit. A heat detecting scope. Not good.' dove down as I gagged realizing that my chain was tangled as I recovered coughing as I snarled dodging the first shot it hit the tree right next to me. I tensed seeing it was a tranq dart. I quickly blasted a blast of flames as they dodged with the kenuin shooting his rifle as I barely dodged it. I growled,'Of all things why can't my eyes see slow motion.' Both of them drew knife as they climbed the tree as I climbed up higher up as I was now on a thin branch getting ready to blast them with hellfire. Suddenly the chain was yanked as I hardened my scales quickly to both have a better defense and to increase the sharpness of my talons. Suddenly I felt a snap as somehow my muzzle had been reconnected. I heard the tree part that I cut earlier fall as I heard a yell of surprise as I smirked before hissing hearing several footsteps,"Hands up Kenuins and don't move leave whatever it is from the tree and come towards us." Both kenuins readied their weapons as one of the new comers came forward with blades as both kenuins charged as the one new comer quickly despatched them. The one who dispatched the kenuins growled seeing the chain as I hissed slightly in fear as they climbed up. I quickly released my crystal protection as I stayed in the leaves. The newcomer gently pulled the chain as he led me down the tree trunk as I tried to scratch him with my talon when he got closer and in range.

     He growled,"How dare they do this to a creature this rare and from the Kenuins report four months ago there is a little over a hundred of them." The one to the second one spoke,"I agree Dereck but we can't really do anything only the higher ups can plus he is extremely scared of being touched. Well his eyes do seem to notice any movement we make like what the kenuins report said his eyes seem to see us transparently and normally at will So right now he sees the world in color. I am guessing when his reflexes take over in combat that means he sees us transparently. Also from what I saw about the temperature of his flames they exceed the heat of a yellow sun like in this temperature it's also a little higher than a white star." The third newcomer nodded,"I saw the files as well from what I learned this little one actually killed several kenuins." I tried to pull back as Dereck spoke,"Look through their bodies see if there is a kay or something. We will keep the collar on so we can track them but we will get the muzzle off and get the chains off this one and the others also tell the guards to take down the electric poles so they can stay here or anywhere else. Got it Ivan and Shawn." They both nodded as Shawn spoke,"Here got a controller." Shawn tossed the controller to Dereck as Dereck pressed the button labeled muzzle. I watched his hands warily as he undid the metal chain on my collar and as he said he was leaving the collar on. He took his hands away as I bolted into the air sighing,'That was way too close
