Chapter 9

                                                                two months later

    Growling I narrowed my eyes at Icatvak as he tried to get me to come out. I had gotten used to him when we were alone but whenever K'ell and Toranto were here I would not move. He sighed,"Well this is gonna be a pain." Well looks like I have to grab him." I lashed my tail,'Try it. Please just try it.' K'ell spoke,"Need some help." Icatvak nodded,"Yes please grab his tail if you can."  K'ell watched my tail warily as I lashed it hard and fast. My eyes watching the two skilled kenuins as Icatvak lunged at me while my throat glowed as K'ell lunged at my tail. I smirked seeing there muscles contracting and blood vessels push blood in as I anticipated K'ell lunged for my tail tip. Moving my hands around the grab I slashed my tail upwards cutting deep enough to scar into his arm. He winced before grabbing my tail before I could pull it away. Icatvak took notice of my glowing neck as I tried to turn my head in the direction of K'ell as Icatvak lunged grabbing the back of my head. He looked at K'ell," You Alright." He nodded," Yep and of all the times I get hurt is from a lizard of all things." Toranto snickered," Well you finally got a scar and it's not from the battlefield." K'ell glared at Toranto," You try grabbing his tail it is serrated so it cuts like a blade. I am lucky that I moved my arm in time otherwise it for sure would have nailed my arm bone easily." Icatvak then put a muzzle on as I tried to snap at his fingers. He sighed," Geez I am glad that the elders are gonna met us at the vet at the moment." He then placed me in a see-through glass cage.

I hissed," Hey Ashton can you hear me." A voice came back immediately," Thank god Dylan are you okay are you hurt." I snorted," Yes I am okay well minus being trapped by a kenuin. Yes, I am hurt. My leg bone is fractured or broken. My neck bone is fractured and several of my vertebrates are broken. Those are the injuries I sustained from my fight." He replied," Yeesh glad I am not in your shoes right now. Also, what's your chance to escape." I growled," Bro we don't wear shoes use your brain idiot. As of right now my chance of being set free is probably fifty-fifty unless the elders decide I am too valuable to release." He snickered," I feel bad for you. You hate being restrained." I growled as I began to curse st him. He replied panicked," Alright Alright please don't kill me." I scowled," We shall see we'll see ya since we are in the vet now. Yayyyy screw the vet it's worse than school." I headed him laughing as I disconnected the mind link.

I already started to smell chemicals as soon as we stepped through the doors. Narrowing my eyes at the hawk who squawked at me I hissed as my throat glowed green. A telltale sign I wanted to roast this chicken. Icatvak looked at me," Calm down." I softly moved my tail side to side as my hisses grew louder as we stepped into the examination room. The doctor came in as he sighed," Why have you put that muzzle on him Icatvak." Icatvak rose an eyebrow," Do you want him to blast us with his Hellfire." The doctor replied," No not really. Also, why are you holding your arm K'ell." K'ell grumbled," The lizard cut my arm with his tail." The doctor chided," He is not a lizard a wyvern to be exact." Toranto snorted," A lizard is more accurate." I glared at him as my eyes showed I promised a ton of pain." He clammed up immediately. The doctor sighed," Place him on the table I will quickly do the X-rays. Icatvak placed me on the table as the doctor looked shocked," There is no way those bones can't be this close to being healing after two months! The neck bones are fully healed. The leg bone seems to be almost healed." Icatvak and everyone else looked at me in shock as I snarled,'Oh boy I can't wait to give Toranto a few good gashes.' Toranto saw the gleam in my eye," I really don't like that look on the wyverns face." The door opened and in came the three of the elders on the council. One of them spoke," Is this the little creature that took down the Noble Dradvian alone." Icatvak nodded," Yes sir." The elders conversed for a few minutes. Finally one of them spoke,"We advise you to keep him and train him to do so. We wish to see weekly updates of your progress. We will also give you leave to become a trainer for him." My heart sank,' Fantastic.' The doctor and the elder continued to fill Icatvak in about everything.

I curled up in the glass cage as my neck was stiff from not being able to be moved. My leg throbbed as I tried to move into a more comfortable position. Closing my eyes I fell asleep.

  Opening my eyes I stayed laying down as K'ell spoke," Are you gonna train him by taking food from your hand. I tensed as I pleaded,'Please no. At least let me eat on my own.' Icatvak Nodded," That's a good idea. He hasn't had breakfast yet." I growled,' When I get out of here I will give K'ell a good cut on him somewhere painful.' I messaged Ashton,"Sorry bro looks like being set free isn't an option anymore." He growled," Damn can you escape then." I sighed,"I will try as soon as my leg is healed." Icatvak looked at me as he coaxed," Come here boy."

        I tripped over the cage opening slipping as I twisted around catching myself with my wing talons as Icatvak chuckled lifting me up as I moved my stiff neck to try and bite his arm. He laid me down as he began to message my neck muscles as I hissed softly as I relaxed. I have always liked neck massages. I curled up with my broken leg hanging off the couch as I heard the door open as Toranto looked at me," Why is he not ripping your lap to shreds Icatvak." Icatvak chuckled," I believe I found his favorite massage spot. Also how is watching the other wyverns going." Toranto replied,"Good they don't seem to realize we are watching at them." I smirked internally,"Hey Ashton you there." I heard his reply immediately," Yes what's up." Replying," You do realize you have been being watched this whole time right while I have been gone." I felt his shock through the link,"No thanks for the heads up we will think of something to annoy the hell out of them." I sighed,"Tell everyone I say hi." He responded," Of course I will." I disconnected the link as Toranto asked," Have you thought of name yet." Icatvak responded,"No not yet I have been thinking about it for a while but nothing is as unique as he is or suits him." A thought occurred to me,' Would that work... I will try it tonight.' Icatvak proceeded to try to feed me as I instead went for his hand. Lashing my tail softly as I looked up at him and hissed. Before he smiled," He looks like he wants to bite my nose or something. My throat glowed as the heat built up. He grabbed my mouth with one hand as he started to massage my neck. I glared at him before laying back down as I looked at the bag of fruit as I silently hooked my tail on the drawstring and before Icatvak realized it I was munching on the mango in the bag. He groaned,"And there goes his favorite fruit. I swear I should hide it better. Then again it probably won't help because he will just sniff it out. Maybe I should put it in a safe." Toranto laughed," I don't think that will help due to the fact he has hellfire soooo good luck." I used my wingtalon as Icatvak released me as I used my talons to climb up the wall. I managed to use my talons to get to the fan. Sitting on the fan I looked down at them. Icatvak sighed," I swear he just wants to torture me." I looked at them as I curled up on the top of the fan.
