The New Legend

Chapter thirteen

Nate's POV
We walk around the corner of this huge and beautiful building. Since Rasputin came back to life, he's more rich than ever. I see Rasputin sitting on a chair surrounded by waiters, guards, maids and other women as I look through the window. "What's our plan?" Ray asks me a little too loud. I quickly shush him, but it's too late. Rasputin is looking in our direction.

Rasputin says something while pointing in our direction. I can't quite make out what he's saying, but I see a big group of guards coming in our direction. "Oh, crap." I mumble to myself. "What is it?!" Sara whispers loudly. "Let's get out of here." I say back and get up from the ground. Though, before we could get away, the guards already surrounded us.

Ray's POV
"We are here for Sir Rasputin. We've got some questions." I say with my hands up. I see one guard mumbling something to the other in Russian. The other guard nods and they start walking. "I think we have to follow them..." Sara says slowly. Nate nods and we walk with the guards inside. "Who are you guys?" Rasputin asks with a bad English accent. "My name is Ray Palmer, I-" I begin, but I get cut off by him. "That's the guy she told me about..." Rasputin says to a guard.

"Wait, she?" I ask back. Sara nudges my shoulder. "What?!" I whisper loudly while turning my head to her. "Astra, you dummy." She whispers back. I notice Rasputin looking at us. "Kill them!" He suddenly says as he points at us angrily. I grab my exosuit from my pocket and enlarge it. "Exosuit, assemble." I say swiftly and not one second later, I'm wearing it. "I'm so good at tech." I say proudly to myself, not noticing one of the guards swinging at me.

"Ray, watch out!" Sara yells and I look up to see the guard swinging his sword at me. I swiftly charge my energy blaster and fire him backwards. Another guard jumps up to me but my right hook gets him before he reached me. I kick the next one in the stomach and look to my right. I notice Rasputin taking something and trying to get away. "Stop him!" I tell and now everyone sees him.

Sara runs as fast as she can, pushing away all the guards in front of her, and jumps onto Rasputin. "Nate, get the book." She says while trying to hold him still. Nate grabs the book from his pocket and looks for a spell. "Wait, stop!" I hear someone yelling from behind us. It's Zari. "Don't use that book, you don't know what it does." She pants. She must've ran here. "What's so important that you stop us from getting Rasputin?" Sara asks frustrated as she points at the fleeing man. "It's John." Zari says.

"God knows what is possessing John. It's powerful, Louisa and Zed are in danger." Zari says while speedwalking in front of us, headed towards the waverider. "They're in the library." She adds swiftly. We all walk into the cargo bay without a word. "Don't do this!!" I hear Louisa yell loudly. Sara looks at me and runs to the library immediately after.

Nate's POV
I run after Sara for backup and notice that the others do the same. "Everyone who stands by your side dies, just like we tell John. Eventually, you'll die too. And until that moment comes, you will suffer." The demon says to Louisa. I run into the library but I bump into Sara. She's standing completely still, looking at what's in front of her.

I look over her shoulder to see the demon holding Zed by her neck faced towards Louisa. Zed is trying to break free of it's grasp, but he's to strong. I notice the fireplace poker in the corner of the room. I swiftly make a move towards it but the demon stops me. "Don't try, I'll kill her, you know." The demon says while tightening his grip on Zed.

Louisa's POV
I have to do something. Just something. But I don't know what. I can't even save my own father. I'm a failure. Everyone will die knowing that I couldn't save them. If this is what being a legend feels like, like it's your fault when a legend dies, then I want to go back to my own life. My old life.

My eyes start to tear up as everyone looks at me. Sara looks at me with hope, Nate and Ray look at me with worry, Zed looks at me with fear, Zari looks at me with confidence and the demon looks at me with pure evil joy and suffer. I grab my head in anger and fear.

"If you don't know what to do, if you're ever stuck in a bloody awful situation, concentrate anger and fear and turn it into magic against that situation. Remember, dear, you're powerful." I hear John echoing in my head. My father. I have to save my dad, and I will. I will save my dad.

Zed's POV
After Louisa let go of her head, she looks at me and Belial angrily. Her eyes start to glow white. She's reaching her full potential. Louisa looks at her hands as they start to glow white, as if she has glowing fireballs in them. She pushes one hand towards us and something fires at us. It hits Belial's hand and he lets go of my neck.

I groan in pain while running back to the rest. "Get behind me." Sara says as she gets ready to fight. I see Louisa raising both her arms up, forming some kind of demon seal around him. Possessed John screams in anger as he bangs on the invisible force that keep him from getting away.

"Bring John back!" Louisa yells angrily with a tear on her cheek. I rush up to her now that I know she's safe. Sara runs up to Louisa too, so does the rest. We all try to hug her but she pushes through us, angrily walking towards Belial. "I SAID, BRING HIM BACK!!" She yells again, tears streaming down her angry, red face.

John's POV
"When are you letting me back up there, eh? You and I are done here." I say with an angry tone in my voice. "Oh, but he's not done yet up there." Astra says back. I need to escape this bloody place to make sure my daughter is okay. Belial is probably attacking everyone there. He could already have killed them... No, John, no he didn't. They're better than him.

"In the meantime, why don't you say hi to a couple of friends?" Astra says as she points behind me with the drink still in her hand. I look behind me, only to see John Wayne Gacy, Marry Tudor and Charles Manson stand there. Astra could easily send them back to earth, why didn't she bloody do that already?

Astra suddenly hands me a gun. It has one bullet. "You can use this gun to either shoot me or yourself. If you shoot me, you can leave." She says. I point the gun at her in frustration, but something holds me from pulling the trigger. She wasn't the monster she is now. I made her like this. I can fix her. I can fix my mistakes.

"I will get you back." I say shakily as I lower the pistol. "I bet at least one of your friends is already dead." Astra says. I quickly point the pistol at Charles after swiftly turning around. The bullet glows green as it flies straight through his throat. "I can say the same for you." I say and look back at her.

"I hope you got used to this place, being here for the second time, because you will be going back here soon enough." Astra adds, putting her drink on the coffee table. "I swear, Astra, I won't give up on you." I say as I walk away from the bar, pushing everyone out of my way, letting a tear form on my face.

Note:

Omg I'm literally in love with the 4th episode of LOT. I loved it, now I also get a new name for my notes. (all the names will be in the 'notes' chapter. I'll update it as fast as I can every time a new episode airs in the Netherlands.) I quickly binge-watched the new series 'Locke and Key' twice and I loved it soooooo much. I wish I was as good with writing as they are. I also recently started watching 'Limitless' and that series made me think about things in more complicated ways lol.

Also, I got a temporary phone so I can upload again. Although, I can't download Grammarly (my secret grammar mistake fixer) on this phone so there may be some mistakes in my writing idk.

I really think that my work suckz and I'm cringing so bad whenever I read my own stories. Luckily, no one knows who I am so no one can ever make fun of me irl XD. Please leave comments to tell me what you think or to tell me what I should improve.
