(Authors note: hi holy shit hello people. I've been trying to find time for SO long to sit down and just finish this story and write more chapters, just seeing it unfinished killed me, but like many of you the beginning of last year was rough, even though its a new year, it's just about the same. I also ended up getting a job, and after months of struggling with horrible sleeping habits, a busy schedule and chronic pains I've found time to come back and write for everyone, so please try and expect updates on ether Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays owo~ thank you for your time and patience, please enjoy this needed update!)

A soft sigh left your lips as you stepped out the hot shower, it had ben a few months since the strange spirit from a childhood video game had begun to haunt you and weeks since his apology, it had been difficult trying to get along with him, especially with his random out bursts and irritability when he feels as if nothings getting done, it had become apparent to you that his busy bodied-ness stems from being connected to the cartridge, and after light poking and prodding you realized that he has to stay close to the game or he becomes weak, and feeble. Last time he had tried to make a run for it he almost killed himself, last time he ran- it was because of your cousin. Which is something he still seems to be upset about, you weren't sure if it was because he needs help getting out of his sticky situation. OR if it was because Alex had tried to kill him and hes held a grudge since. But there was still something that bothered you, so many questions swarmed your mind, all the "what ifs" and doubts clouded your mind since he had gotten the guts to tell you.

Your thoughts were interrupted by a loud knock at the door. "speak of the devil" you whispered to yourself. "Whadda need Ben? I'm trying to get dressed here!" you shouted from your seat on top the toilet, you kept your towel wrapped tightly around your body, not having any trust in him to just not come in without asking first like some weirdo.

"I kinda need to talk to you about something!" he shouted back, you could hear the anxiety hinting in his voice.

"Did you break something again?" you groaned, trying to imagine the mess hes made. "No I- hey! that was an accident! The microwave attacked ME okay?? Its something else unrelated, just hurry up!" you listened to him walk away from the door, muttering something under his breath about how it was just "one time" and that he was just "trying to make popcorn" when it happened. You smiled to yourself as you felt proud for embarrassing the little ghost man.

You dried off the best you could before pulling on your clothes, conisisting of a f/c loose sweater and light colored sweats. You threw your towel over your shoulders to catch all the little drips your hair laid in its wake, with a deep breath you existed the safety and privacy of your restroom and began to look around for the ghostly man. Your room laid empty, so was the guest bedroom you offered up to him but he had wordlessly avoided it like the plague, claiming that he didn't have time for sleep, yet you've caught him (much to his embarrassment) passed out at your kitchen table or on the couch. Which speaking of the couch, that's where you had unsurprisingly found him.

You took a moment to take in his silhouette, he sat on the couch with your laptop, anxiously clicking a pen as he ruby orbs traced back and forth across the screen, his other hand hovered over the keyboard with light anticipation, he brought his hand from the keys up to his mouth, smoothing his fingers across his bottom lip, a nervous tick of his you've noticed slowly over time. You had also noticed that he changed from his link costume to the pair of jeans and green Zelda hoodie. You couldn't help but assume that its way more comfortable then the tunic he wore most of the time although he was still wearing his elf hat which wasn't too strange, you stood in a door way for a moment before you cleared your throat.

~Ben's POV~

The sound of a familiar human clearing their throat from the hallway startled me, I looked up and couldn't help but stare for a minute. "You look.. Comfy" I complimented unsurely, a small giggle erupted from their throat, "you do too, what is it you needed to show me?" the human asked as they walked over to sit next to me, plucking my hat off my head at the same time and placing it on theirs. I shot them a glare but she paid no attention.
