(Author's note. Hi everyone, I apologize about the slow updates, I've been forced to move around lot and it makes it a bit difficult to sit down and write. I'm still very much dedicated to finishing this series- and it's good for my silly little brain right now too. I might also be streaming? So I guess if anyone would be interested in that- but I could post a link by next chapter if it is something that would interest you. It would likely be horror games- I wanna start streaming my drawings as well, believe it or not- I have made some mini comic's for some of these chapters- and I could possibly show my writing process, if that would interest anyone- Whatever, onto todays chapter!

Song inspo: Nagoya by It Looks Sad.

Some of the lyrics will be bolded- those as going to be words spoken by another character-

Tully)

As the colors, toys, and other cute things swirled around you in a wonderland meant for children, you couldn't help but focus on the artist's art in front of you, complimenting it in a way the boy didn't know how to respond- freezing up in his spot with a dazed look as you admired one of his smaller paintings, a picture of some poppies in a field- all the tiny details were stunning- and you couldn't help but tell the boy as such as you admired the tiny pocket art.

"This is amazing Helen! Everything here, it's so nice. You spend a lot of time doing this, don't you?"

You turned to look at the boy, who's pale face was as red as the paint he uses, his fingers picked at one another as he avoided eye contact, looking off to the side at a doll instead of back at you. It seemed like he didn't do that good with hiding his embarrassment, clearly not used to such praise- let alone had been prepared for it. "You.. You can have the tiny painting it.. Was only a practice doodle really" he muttered, his eyes looking down. If he could have, he would've melted on the spot.

You went to say something when a pale hand suddenly wrapped around your shoulder. "I haatte to break up the flirting here but I gotta talk to the proxy here, okay?" a raspy voice said. You sighed.

Jeff.

You rolled your eyes as he pulled you away into a darker corner of the shop, one that had less toys and more book cases. He pulled you behind one out of view. You looked up at him with an annoyed look.

"Did you have to say it like that?"

He grins, "Oh you know it. I wanna mess with you as much as possible before you gotta head back to your little god" he then poked the tip of your nose in a mocking way, making you scrunch your face in annoyance.

"what do you want?"

He glanced over his shoulder, through a gap in the book case- you could just barely see the toy maker as he shows off a ballerina to Jack with the most joyful look on his face. "the fuck do you think? Out- I want away, from him"

You glanced through the crack at the happy man and the God of Hunger as they conversed.

"Why? He seems lovely"

"Yea- key word there, seems. He's really not though and I'm getting antsy, I  haven't had a cigarette in two hours and-"

"It's about smoking isn't it?"

Jeff gave you annoyed look, leaning over you and boxing you in against a book shelf, pressing your back to the books- a few slipped out and fell to the other side, softly thudding which went unnoticed by the others.

"Just listen to me, girly. You don't want anything to do with Jason. I like to consider myself as something of a uh, how do I put this? Bad boy, and Jason- he's a monster. "

His words were quiet and his breath smelled like mint and cigarettes, his eyes held a serious tone as his words swirled in your brain- clearly the man wasn't vocalizing everything- and was choosing to hint instead. It was for a reason, and you couldn't help but smirk a little- which surprised Jeff a little.

"I'm already playing a game of pricks I didn't agree to enter. I already got knives to my back, anything Jason has to offer doesn't scare me"

Your words made Jeff cock his head to the side, his neck popping softly as it had- he leaned closer- his own grin growing.

"Ya know? I think I like you- I always hadda thing for fighters, but I'm telling you now. We need to leave- for our own safety."

"What about Helen?"

"He'll be fine, he's here on a contact. He can't hurt him. "
