2. Boy With The Broken Heart

Phoenix P.O.V

I sent a shy smile towards him. He had a few facial bruises from whoever he was fighting with, causing him to be this late. "Oh here, you're pluging in the wrong end", his chuckle filled the awkward silence as I watched his hands brush against mine, he took the wire while helping me set up the microphone stand. "Whats you're name?", he raised his thin arched brow. I remained silent as my voice decided to cut off, I went extremely shy. "You're shy aye?", he smiled warmly and gazed around the room quickly then taking my wrist in his. A wince escaped my mouth which caught his attention. "This sucks, come chill in the equiptment room", he tugged me along.

"Sorry if I hurt you, I'm Alexander by the way", he introduced himself while taking a seat on the small couch. I stood in the doorway awkwardly, I was socially awkward with talking to people I didn't know, hell I even get nervous talking to Emily. "I promise I won't bite", he laughed while tapping the space next to him. I took one step at a time over to the couch where I plopped my ass down onto the tatted couch. His knee brushed against mine makng me even more on edge. "Hey, are you alright dude?", he asked. 

I looked up at his pale smooth face, his eyes were lit with concern. I nodded my head slowly, playing with a lose string on my shirt. "How did you get those bruises?", I blurted out wanting to know who had hurt him. "Oh so it does talk", he smirked lightening the tention. My mouth curved into a small smile making him smile wider. "I'm Phoenix", I awkwardly held my shaking hand out towards his. He slapped his hand against mine in a tight hand shake, I think all the bones in my fingers crumbled. "Ouchy", I squeaked out embarrassingly. Please Lord, tell me he didn't hear that. "Aw", he laughed apologizing quickly. 

I gazed across his appearance swiftly. I gazed my eyes over his darkish brown longish hair framing his face perfectly. His green eyes caught onto mine, his eyebrow raised again causing the heat to rush to my face. I flipped my hair slightly hoping it would cover the blush, I failed as he noticed. "Checking me out?", he teased amusingly. "Yeah, I mean no... no", I stuttered patheticly. "You're kinda cute, go ahead", he smirked while looking at me from head to toe. "Quit it", I mumbled with a soft giggle. "Aw", he laughed again. "You're adorable, You're the new kid right?", he perked up a conversation. "I took a six month break off from school", I nervously mumbled not wanting to talk about past memories.

"Phoenix Emerald?", his eyebrows raised for the millionth time. I nervously nodded, wondering how he know my name. "Oh I know you, you hang around with Emily Romance right?", he smiled brightly at my nod. "I moved here after you left, I hung around with Emily allot and she told me about you. I'm sorry about you're brother", he sighed sadly. "She told me all about the bullying and if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here", he patted his chest as the flashbacks took over my mind. "Hey", he scooted over and wrapped an arm around my waist. It threw me out of my confort zone, my knees were shaking slightly. "I'm not going to hurt you, you're shaking", he frowned while tracing his fingers across my back. 

I tried to be polite and move across slightly, but he thought I was trying to get closer so he moved. We were now thigh to thigh, I felt so unconfortable. "No matter what happeneds, you can always come to me if you're upset. Emily told me everything and I won't judge, I have a fucked up life too so...", he smiled. "The lessons almost over, come hang with me", he rubbed my arm as I followed him like a puppy into the drama class. "Well done boys, I can see how much work you did", sir said sarcastily shooting daggers at Alexander. "I'm sorry sir", I spoke up. "Phoenix!", Emily squealed running into my arms. "Watch out, I'm only little", I squeaked hiding behind Alexander for protection. "Ah I see you've met my boyfriend", Emily sent him a wink while wrapping her arm around my shoulders.

"In you're dreams, I'm into boys", he smirked sending my heart flying up into my throat. Emily noticed my actions and sent me a sly smirk, "oooo someone likes Alex", he cooed. "I do not", I stuttered but it was no use. "Oooo, Phoenix likes Alex", Emily sang very loudly. Most of the heads turned in my direction, my face went the deepest shade of red. "Stop it, you're such a meanie", I pouted shuffling away to go sit at my table. "Lighten up Phoenix, no one heard", she smirked. I rolled my eyes and laid my head on the table as the devil himself came and joined us. "Do you like him?", she mouthed to me. I shifted awkwardly and looked up to see Alexander too busy listening to his ipod to see me nod. "I met him in Drama, I had butterflies as soon as I saw him", I frowned then noticed her face.

"Oh no, please don't", I paniced holding onto her shoulder. "Yesssss!", she started squealing in her seat clapping her hands like a seal in a circus show. "Stop fangirling, you're embarassing-", she cut me off with a loud squeak right in my ear canal. "When you bang, video tape it", she squealed once again. I shook her shoulders desperately, everyone was looking and I was as red as a tomato. "I'll made sure to send you a copy", Alexander waved her off continuing to look at his ipod. "He heard!", I mouthed to Emily who wouldn't stop hyperventilating. 

"Okay I'm good", she slowly calmed herself down. "Why am I even friends with you?", I sighed miserably. "Sh, you know you wuv me", she smirked. "You two would make an adorable couple", she started breathing heavily again. "I'm not ready for a relationship yet", I rolled my eyes. "Phoenix, you've never even been in a relationship. I've never even seen you hug a person, you need to pop that ass soon", she sighed. I didn't want a relationship, I was... afraid. "When you do pop it, please... I need video proof", she grinned. She needs to understand, that I won't ever settle down with anyone. I just... can't.
